Taylor is the unsung hero of the Calvary Christian squad. I watched him take over on several occasions when his team needed a bucket. Very capable shooter and rebounder with a motor that doesn’t quit. A versatile player that would fit right in at the college 2 or 3.
2027 6’0 Cooper Lasalle
The lone rising freshman on the list, Lasalle has a bright future with Gateway Charter. This summer he’s proven to be one of the premier shooters in SWFL, showcasing his scoring ability with a 50 point outing for his SWFL Hoops travel team. This weekend he made the most of his minutes not just in scoring, but in showing poise and confidence with the ball before ever starting high school.
2024 6’0 Colin Taylor Colin Taylor 6'2" | SG New Castle | 2024 FL
The recent Indiana transplant had a solid showing with the newly assembled Bishop Verot squad. His 3 point marksmanship was exactly what was needed to make this team a solid contender. Taylor is a capable ball handler and showed great defensive effort in the two games I watched him.
2024 6’6 Ryan Blout
Blout was one of my favorite players to watch this weekend. I’ve personally witnessed his growth and development over the past two years. Ryan’s skill set would immediately translate to the next level. LM Div 1 colleges should take notice. The 6’6 combo guard was the complete package of shooting, rebounding and touch around the rim. His weekend was highlighted by a 34 point Perfomance.
2024 6’8 Josh Harris Josh Harris 6'8" | SF Pembroke Pines Charter | 2024 State FL
The Pembroke Pines rising senior raised his stock considerably after a dominant weekend in Gainesville. Filling the role of what looks to be a stretch 4, Harris posted a double-double both games I watched him play. He shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc, was a physical finisher around the rim and inhaled rebounds all weekend. He had a statement performance against a loaded Providence team, scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
