You look at some traditional schools that usually play upperclassmen have some really good young talent. Bingham has some good young players in the pipeline. Westlake has some good young players in the pipeline and even Copper Hills has some good young players in their program. Woods Cross has some solid youngsters, orem has a fleet of youngsters and even Timpview has a roster full of young talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1278505' first='Mason' last='Ford'] ||Timpview || 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1278448' first='Dean' last='Rueckert'] || Timpview || 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='2045987' first='Tate' last='Robinson'] || Orem || 2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1278443' first='Anthony' last='Felesi'] || Orem || 2026 ||

[player_tooltip player_id='1278444' first='Kai' last='Wesley'] || Orem || 2026 ||

[player_tooltip player_id='1771527' first='Isaiah' last='Reiser'] || Copper Hills || 2026 ||

[player_tooltip player_id='1571761' first='Ty' last='Cogswell'] || Copper Hills || 2025 ||

[player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'] || Bingham || 2026 ||

Jason Petereson || Bingham || 2025 ||

Symon Su'a || Westlake || 2025 ||

Power Moves

There are a few teams that have some new faces that really make them a powerful team.

Corner Canyon has three new faces in [player_tooltip player_id='1492490' first='Hayden' last='Gribble'], [player_tooltip player_id='1190621' first='Noah' last='Bendinger'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1190620' first='Bryton' last='Valdes']. It seems like these three will crack the rotation. They also have a few players getting some minutes that are also new to the rotation in [player_tooltip player_id='1392874' first='Tate' last='Boman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen']. You add [player_tooltip player_id='1278507' first='Will' last='Chandler'], [player_tooltip player_id='1877115' first='Taylor' last='Feroah'], Isaac Neibauer and [player_tooltip player_id='1056969' first='Brody' last='Kozlowski'] and this team can cause some damage.

Cottonwood reloaded as they also have a few notable names that have emerged over there in [player_tooltip player_id='1146659' first='John' last='Rosevear'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1146658' first='Carter' last='Nielson']. If we just take a look at Carter if he gets some space and time he is going to light it up from deep. John provides some creating and in the paint driving ability and with them playing with [player_tooltip player_id='1384525' first='Chris' last='Cox'] really makes them tough because they have some other role players on that squad.

Herriman might not have the transfers that other schools have but they did get a new coach in Doug Mecham a vet coach that has a winning track record in 6A and recently at Snow Canyon. This team looks different already as you are seeing a different [player_tooltip player_id='1384539' first='Malcom' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1115963' first='Ike' last='Palmer']. Carlo Mulfor has a great pace and [player_tooltip player_id='1369726' first='Cale' last='Barclay'] is looking big and strong.

Impressive Play

This June there have been a lot of players that have stepped up and here are a few

[player_tooltip player_id='1057040' first='Mekhi' last='Martin'] || Layton

[player_tooltip player_id='1185170' first='Hunter' last='Jackson'] || Woods Cross

[player_tooltip player_id='1057047' first='Carter' last='Doleac'] || Alta

[player_tooltip player_id='1146662' first='JJ' last='Apathjang'] ||

[player_tooltip player_id='1272410' first='Coleman' last='Atwater'] || Davis

Breackon Robinson || Dixie

[player_tooltip player_id='1115971' first='Aaron' last='Castagnetto'] || Provo

[player_tooltip player_id='1360824' first='Isaac' last='Miller'] || Hillcrest

Players on the Rise

[player_tooltip player_id='1057035' first='Ace' last='Reiser'] || Alta

[player_tooltip player_id='1115931' first='Hunter' last='Hansen'] || Fremont

[player_tooltip player_id='1559781' first='Tanner' last='Davis'] || Sky View

[player_tooltip player_id='1185179' first='Kyle' last='Lemke'] || Dixie

[player_tooltip player_id='1298532' first='Jaxon' last='Johnson'] || Alta

[player_tooltip player_id='1057034' first='Dutch' last='Dowdell'] || Olympus

[player_tooltip player_id='1534951' first='Zach' last='Fisher'] || Davis

[player_tooltip player_id='1231453' first='Carson' last='Smith'] || Bountiful

Moving to the Beehive State

There are at least 5 players making moves to Utah that will be in the Top 10 in the Class of 2024, 2025 and 2026 and there is no debate about it. These kids have game and these 5 are all D1 kids.

Overview

Utah has some good basketball and as more players have decided to play out of state more colleges have been coming in offering kids because they are more confident that they are offering players that will leave Utah. With a few new coaches at the D1 level across the state there are a few local kids making rosters. Utah State has a few and so does Utah and BYU. Utah Tech has a few but Utah talent is getting deeper and having players have success out of state has really been important. You have a few at UC Irvine, Northern Arizona and even out East. Big July ahead for Utah players looking to play in front of college coaches.
