3A PH- Utah Player of the Year

This year alone, Morgan went 24-3 and was able to capture the 3A State Championship. They were led by Saunders along the way. With an early loss to West Field, a tough loss to 4A State Champion Provo, and a reset humbling loss to region foe American Heritage this year, Morgan had a fantastic season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Who is [player_tooltip player_id='2388587' first='Bracken' last='Saunders']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saunders is a 6'5 guard who has a skill set that rivals anyone in the state. He is not afraid of the moment, and he is not afraid to attack anyone standing in his way under the rim or in the perimeter. While Bracken can shoot the ball and he made over 40 three-pointers this season alone, he is not a catch-and-shoot player who just roams around the perimeter. Saunders is a slashing guard who uses his IQ. He cuts to the rim. He elevates above the rim, and he finds ways to score in the midrange. This is why he might be among the best three-level scorers in the state. Saunders knows how to bring the energy, as he has had multiple double-doubles this year. He knows how to score the ball and can impact the game on the offensive side in many ways. He can mix it up inside, be low-maintenance with cleaning the glass, and get easy clean-up buckets. He can use his movement to get open backdoors or simple space jumpers and layups. Saunders could be a spot-up shooter, ready to catch and shoot. You can also go to him off the bounce as he has wiggle, strength, and speed, and at 6'5, he is a prime 2/3 guard at the JUCO level. The best aspect that you might see from him in college is that he has some room left to grow his game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
