James Kefgen James Kefgen 6'2" | SG Liberty | 2025 State OR | SG | Liberty – #8
Easily the biggest newcomer to the rankings, Kefgen burst onto the scene for Liberty and finished the year as one of 6A’s top scorers at over 21 points per game. At 6-foot-3, he’s got solid size on the wing and is capable of not only knocking down threes but creating off the bounce. His shooting percentages of over 50 percent from the field and over 44 percent from three was indicative of not only how accurate his shooting ability was, but how good his shot selection was as well.
Walt Rosenberg Walt Rosenberg 6'6" | PF McMinnville | 2025 State OR | PF | McMinnville – #20
The son of former Linfield head coach Shanan Rosenburg, Walt Rosenberg Walt Rosenberg 6'6" | PF McMinnville | 2025 State OR emerged as a force in the post for McMinnville as a sophomore. Very few could match up with his size in the paint and his soft touch inside, but he also exhibited the ability to face up and knock down open jumpers. A solid rebounder and defender, he wound up averaging 14.8 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting just under 56 percent from the field.
Steven Adams Steven Adams 5'11" | CG McNary | 2025 State OR | CG | McNary – #26
McNary head coach calls Adams potentially the best point guard he’s ever coached at the school. The shifty guard is talented offensively, averaging 13.5 points per game, and will be even more of a threat once he adds some consistency to his three-point shot. He’ll get the main ball-handling reins handed over to him with the graduation of Celtic seniors Jando Gonzalez Jando Gonzalez 5'7" | PG McNary | 2023 State OR and Jabol Balos-Mesey Jabol Balos-Mesey 5'10" | CG McNary | 2023 State OR in the backcourt.
Jacob Brown Jacob Brown 6'9" | PF Sandy | 2025 State OR | PF | Sandy – #28
Sandy shocked some folks this season in the Mt Hood Conference and Brown was one of the main reasons why. Long and lanky at 6-foot-7, the sophomore was crafty around the hoop and was excellent in transition but also showed off a decent shot facing the basket. He averaged 12 points and 4.7 rebounds.
Diggy Griffin Diggy Griffin 6'5" | SF Rosemary Anderson Prep | 2025 State OR | SF | Wells – #31
One of the guys that seemed to improve the most as the season went along was Griffin. The rangy 6-foot-5 wing was very effective attacking the basket, where he could finish or get to the line where he converted at a high percentage (over 80 percent). He averaged 15.8 points on the year.
Jaylen Hill Jaylen Hill 6'5" | PF De La Salle North | 2025 State OR | PF | De La Salle North – #40
Hill’s future may very well be in football as he’s an emerging star at defensive end at Grant. But in hoops, the 6-foot-5 sophomore has been a force in the post with not only his size but his motor and willingness to get physical.
Connor Parry Connor Parry 6'4" | SF Sherwood | 2025 State OR | SF | Sherwood – #47
Another two-sport standout – he’s a star baseball player – Parry settled into the starting lineup for the Bowmen in the frontcourt. Long and lanky, the 6-foot-4 wing showed he could hit perimeter shots as well as create and finish off the dribble.
Kyle Bittle Kyle Bittle 6'3" | PF Crater | 2025 State OR | PF | Crater – #51
The younger brother of Oregon Ducks post Nate Bittle – formerly the #1 player in the Class of 2021 in Oregon – Kyle Bittle Kyle Bittle 6'3" | PF Crater | 2025 State OR showed as a sophomore that he’s a player to be reckoned with as well. He opened his varsity career with a bang with a huge game in the season opener, and should be a big part of Crater’s future the next two seasons.
Tre Kelly Tre Kelly 6'0" | SG Benson | 2025 State OR | SG | Benson – #53
A hard-nosed lefty, Kelly had some solid games for the Techmen this past season, especially late in the year. In Benson’s tight loss to Gresham in the Sweet 16 of the playoffs, the sophomore spotted up on the wing and knocked down open threes to keep the team within striking distance. He’ll have a bigger role as a junior.
Vance Sheffield Vance Sheffield 6'0" | CG La Salle College Prep | 2025 State OR | CG | La Salle – #55
Yet another two-sport star – soccer is this sophomore’s other endeavor – Sheffield proved himself as a valuable player on the basketball floor as well. Serving mainly as a shooter, the combo guard had some big games keeping defenses honest with his sweet shot from deep.
