The field included shoe company teams from all three major circuits from all over the east coast, as well as some of the top independent teams in the country as well.
Here’s a look at some of the standouts from the North Carolina teams in attendance.
Paul McNeil | 6’6” WF | Garner Road 17U
McNeil was perhaps the top performer in the entire event, as he put on a shooting clinic and scored the ball efficiently and at a high rate throughout the event. The NC State commit gets great lift on his shot and with his size can get his shot off with little to no room, he can play on the ball and get to spots where he can stop on a dime and hit shots from multiple levels and he doesn’t go through cold streaks and scores the ball from all three levels.
Tyler Mason | 6’8” PF | Garner Road 17U
Mason was another big time performer for Garner Road , as the 6’8” forward showed his versatility and ability to impact the game across the board in winning ways. While he’s a forward who can score the ball in the paint he also has the ability to step out and knock down shots on the perimeter, he can face up and put it on the deck and get downhill where he can finish through contact and he is always around the ball as a rebounder on both ends of the floor.
Nate Ament | 6’8” WF | Team Loaded NC 16U
Ament continues to impress national scouts and high level coaches as he has shot up national ranking lists recently, and he showed why as he’s a walking mismatch with his perimeter skillset. He was very efficient and productive putting up big numbers throughout the event, he shot the ball extremely well from deep and showed his ability to create space and knock down shots off the bounce and at his size he can rebound the ball and push in transition where he can both score it and make plays for others as well.
Deshawn Spellman | 6’7” WF | Team Loaded NC 15U
Spellman made his debut as a top 10 player in the VA 2026 class, and the Landstown wing showed why as he helped his Loaded team to a runner up finish and showed his major upside while doing so. At 6’7” he has a basketball frame with long arms and is a smooth athlete who can get downhill and finish at the rim, he shoots the ball well from deep and has good range and he is a good defender and rebounder as well.
Cade Murphy | 6’6” WF | Team Loaded NC 15U
Murphy was one of the top performers in the championship game, and showed why he’s considered one of the top young players in Tennessee. The Knoxville Christian wing fits the mold for the next level with his size and is likely still growing, he shoots the cover off the ball with a quick release and a lot of confidence and he attacks closeouts and finishes well around the rim when he gets downhill too.
