Jacorius Ridgell
Ridgell is a guy that although he is shorter, he is very quick and knows how to get into the lane to get his teammates involved. Due to a lack of height they had to run a five out offense which played to his advantage and allowed him to maximize his speed. They rarely set up offense in the half court and looked to push the pace consistently with him being the lead. He did a great job on the defensive end of being out matched at times but still being able to compete and hold his own. He wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty in the paint to help his team rebound and used his quick leaping ability to secure several what looked like impossible rebounds for his team.
Da’Mykel Hales
Da’Mykel Hales
Hales is a guy that understands how to control his dribble and keep it low when he is in traffic. It was several times throughout the game he was able to weave in and out the defense and create something positive for his teammates. When he got the ball and the opposing team tried to pressure him, it wasn’t an issue for him to single-handedly break the press without thinking about it. Throughout the game, he also did a great job of taking care of the basketball. Without all the positive attributes he has, it will be a win for any program that decides to recruit him.
DJ Johnson
DJ Johnson
Johnson is a guy that has a bunch of potential. He does well being a second option to a guard that is multi-facet and can do a bunch of different things on the basketball court. He is not loud with his production and can almost be overlooked by what he does on the basketball court. He plays hard on both ends of the floor and was the anchor on the defensive end that allowed his guards to get steals and know where to be. The way he carries himself is with a confidence that he knows even when he makes a mistake he is going to be ok.
Kade Boen
Kade Boen
Boen is a guy that is very long and sneaky athletic. When I watched him on Sunday it was a few times he went to the whole and I thought he would lay it in but he ended up finishing with authority at the rim. He is at his best when he is posting up or able to create momentum going downhill on the fastbreak to get to the basket. He has great form on his shot but doesn’t take a bunch of them due to him having two other great shooters on his team. I think he has a chance to grow a little bit more with him being so young and I think he will turn into a legit prospect at the small forward position.
Uziel Davis
Uziel Davis
Davis is a guy that enjoys doing the dirty work for his team. He isn’t afraid to dive on the floor for loose basketballs nor is he afraid to dive out of bounce to save a ball and give his team extra possessions. Every play on offense or defense he is always running full speed and never takes plays off. If the ball is thrown to him ahead on a fastbreak he will do whatever it takes to finish the play. He can finish with both hands and being a bigger guard knows when to make the right pass to give his teammate a chance to score. Unlike other kids I have scouted in the past when he scores it’s very loud almost every time. He might not put up a bunch of points but every time he does score it is a difference maker and needed for his team to succeed.
Jayden Duffy
Jayden Duffy
Duffey at first glance reminds you of a tailback in football. He plays the game with great pace and although he is explosive he knows when and when not to show it. He loves being able to go back door and get easy lay-ups. What I have seen him do consistently was penetrate the baseline and dump the pass off to the big for a layup in the middle of the lane. If he gets around the rim he likes to explode to the rim as if he is going to dunk the basketball but he usually just does it for intimidation factor so that the defender will move out of the way.
