Nooksack Valley Pioneers
Nooksack didn’t have the best season last year but with a new coach at the helm and only losing 2 core players, the Pioneers are ready for a bigger season. Caden Heutink Caden Heutink 6'1" | PG Nooksack Valley | 2025 State WA will takeover as the teams primary scorer/play-maker and I think he will do a great job stepping up. Caden creates his shot very well and finds his spots nicely. I’m excited to see him create more for his teammates during summer ball. ’25 big man Brady Ackerman Brady Ackerman 6'4" | PF Nooksack Valley | 2025 State WA was a force in the paint last season and not many players within the conference can matchup with him down low. He rebounds well, being able to use his big frame to his advantage. Team leader Joey Brown will be back to be a leader on and off the court and to provide height and aggressiveness on the court. ’24 graduate Wayne Silves is a player I am going to keep an eye on for who could step into a bigger role and excel easily.
Meridian Trojans
Meridian didn’t have a terrible season last year. In fact, they had quite a bit of growth to a team that will be returning most of its core. ’25 star Jaeger Fyfe Jaeger Fyfe 6'1" | SG Meridian | 2025 State WA grew his game in a positive way, becoming a lot more well rounded. He shoots the ball very well and plays off the dribble extremely well. He stepped up more as a leader and I think he will continue to grow more. ’25 Talon Jenkins has been growing a lot since the last season ended, as he is doing great things during the AAU circuit so far. He is going to have a big year next winter. ’25 James Hedahl will be stepping into a bigger role and I think the big man will do a nice job. ’24 Taran Burks is a gritty, hard working player. He runs the floor well and gives 110% every possession.
