Jamal Woods Jamal Woods 6'4" | SG Fridley | 2023 MN — PG — Start Strong
Start Strong didn’t win on Sunday morning. They came up short in what was a competitive game versus All Wisconsin. But I thought that Woods played his tail off. On both ends of the court, the point guard was bringing a lot of energy and intensity. As a scorer, Woods is slippery and tough to stay in front of. He attacks the rim with finesse and skill. Woods scored 23 points in a close loss on Sunday.
Braeden Brenn Braeden Brenn 6'8" | SF St. Mary Catholic | 2024 WI — SF — All Wisconsin
I think that Brenn has a lot of potential. The small forward played a really good game. Brenn tallied 18 points and did a little bit of everything. He displayed a smooth stroke from beyond the arc while also impacting the game defensively. I like Brenn’s length and strength on the defensive end. He rebounds well and I also see potential as a shot-blocker. The small forward played a good all-around game on Sunday.
Cooper Zimmerman — PF — World Hoops Elite
Zimmerman has played his best basketball this spring. The power forward has been a beast in the paint on both ends of the court. I really love how Zimmerman uses his size to his advantage. The World Hoops Elite standout is a physical force who doesn’t shy away from contact. He rebounds well and is able to score opportunistically. I really love watching Zimmerman play and college programs should certainly take a look at the talented PF.
Michael McNabb Michael McNabb 6'4" | CG Grafton | 2024 State WI — SG — Chapman Basketball Academy
McNabb is just so skilled. It doesn’t matter what situation the shooting guard finds himself in, the chances of McNabb getting a bucket are very high. He is extremely crafty around the rim. It seems as if the SG always finds a way to get contested layups to roll in. The Chapman Basketball Academy product boosted his stock this weekend. He played great for his squad at teh Midwest Showdown
Carter LaValle — SG — Milwaukee Trail Blazers
LaValle certainly caught my eye this weekend. The Milwaukee Trail Blazers shooting guard made some really big shots. In a back-and-forth game against Northwest Elite, LaValle made several big-time threes in the second period. Without LaValle’s quick offense, the Milwaukee Trail Blazers would have likely lost on Sunday morning.
Omar Kaba Omar Kaba 6'8" | C Blake | 2025 State MN — PF — Minnesota Heat
Kaba had a big-time weekend for Minnesota Heat . Kaba is somewhat of a unique big man. Standing at 6-foot-7, Kaba is a very mobile power forward. He has quick feet and hands to go along with great accuracy on layup attempts. If Kaba continues to improve and add new elements to his game, the Minnesota Heat standout will certainly gain college interest.
Luka Momcilovic Luka Momcilovic 6'8" | SF Pewaukee | 2025 State WI — PF — Chapman Basketball Academy
I think that Momcilovic is going to breakout this fall/winter. With many seniors leaving due to graduation, Momcilovic will almost certainly carve out a larger role for himself. The power forward showed flashes of greatness this weekend. He scored well and played solid defense. I love Momcilovic’s overall game and look forward to seeing him play in the upcoming high school season.
