There are now 16 Division I commitments in the class with at least one, maybe two more still to come. The Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior College levels are full of commitments from the Hoosier state as well. However, there are still prospects remaining on the board for coaches at all levels to recruiting depending on what they need to try and round out their respective classes. Let’s dive into highlighting five unsigned senior guards that are still looking for college homes.
The primary Division I level prospect remaining on the board in Indiana’s Class of 2023 is Ashton Williamson Ashton Williamson 6’2″ | PG Gary 21st Century | 2023 State #287 Nation IN . He is an incredibly dynamic point guard that can penetrate the defense and get into the paint consistently off of the dribble. His athleticism and quickness off of the bounce allow him to flourish in an up-tempo style. Williamson has had a couple of low-major Division I offers in the past and recently visited Valparaiso. The 6’1″ point guard averaged 16.4 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 9.6 assists per game while leading Gary 21st Century to the Class 2A Semi-State. Definitely a Division I level talent for a school still in need of a playmaking point guard.

Miller recently put his skills on display at the Paul Corsaro Unsigned Showcase which took place on Sunday at the University of Indianapolis. The 6’0″ point guard is an excellent playmaker that finished his four-year career at Southport as a 1,000 point scorer. He has a strong frame, handles the ball at a high level, and score it efficiently off of the bounce as well. Division III and NAIA schools have been involved for some time now, but he is still open in terms of his recruitment. Small college programs that need a point guard should be on him at this point.

A bigger guard with excellent strength and athleticism, Slaughter is really tough to stop when he gets downhill to the rim. He turned in a solid senior season at Cathedral after playing his first three seasons at Portage High School. Slaughter received offers from the likes of Indiana Tech and Saint Francis early in the high school season, but is still on the board looking for a home at the next level. Definitely could be a Junior College option as well. Any DII/DII/NAIA/JUCO program needing a powerful guard with good playmaking ability should take a look at Slaughter.

Franks is an elite shooter and big time scorer out of Wapahani High School that has yet to make a college commitment. The 6’2″ guard is a Top 50 prospect in the class that was highly sought after at the Division III level and received offers from Goshen, IU-East, and IU-Southeast. Along with his outstanding shooting ability, Franks is sneaky athletic off of the dribble and should be able to be a serviceable defender at the next level. Would be an excellent late get for a Division III or NAIA program.

A Top 75 prospect in the Class of 2023, Alexander has really had a breakout spring while playing with Kyle Guy Elite Black 2024. The 6’3″ point guard has excellent athleticism and length in the backcourt. His playmaking ability really stands out and we know his skills contribute to winning as he helped lead Beech Grove to the 2022 Class 3A state championship game. Could be a late steal for a small college program needing a two-way point guard.
