2025 Top Scoring Guards (seen at Westland High School)
Angelo Newman Angelo Newman 6'1" | CG Mayfield Heights | 2025 OH | 6’1” | GrassRoots Elite 2025 | Mayfield (Ohio)
Newman is an athletic, explosive guard with elite finishing ability. He is always in attack mode. Throughout the weekend, Newman had the most success in transition. He seems to always find another gear that the defender cannot contain. Newman’s athleticism and scoring ability is hard to defend. Expect him to soar up the 2025 Rankings by the end of the July session.
Drake Craddock | 5’10” | Midwest Basketball Club Central 2025 Young | Lima Bath (Ohio)
Craddock is a tough player that can score the ball from all over the court. He gets highlighted here because of his overall scoring acumen. He is determined and deliberate. Craddock isn’t afraid to throw his body into traffic, which is something we like to see with compact guards. Craddock is a serviceable outside shooter with the tools to be a sniper. He could easily get hot from long range and connect on five or more 3s in a game.
Christian Moulton Christian Moulton 6'0" | PG Olentangy Liberty | 2025 OH | 5”9” | Charging Elite 2025 | Olentangy Liberty (Ohio)
Moulton is a quick, elusive guard that seems to always beat his defender with ease. He showcased an array of shots including the runner, floater, and 1-2 dribble pull-up. When he gets airspace, he is looking to get his shot up. He is the key to getting the offense in motion. Look for Moulton to become the key offensive performer for the Charging Elite crew going into the July session.
Christopher Morris (2024) | 6’1” | Tennessee Edge 2025 | Antioch (Tennessee)
Morris was one of the better all-around guards at the event. He showcased his versatility by playing both on and off the ball. He can initiate the offense and he can run off screens for his own shots. He has the confidence that he can knock down a shot from anywhere on the court regardless of its difficulty. Morris worked the defense all weekend showcasing his scoring at all three levels. Overall, a nice combo guard.
Amare Spiva Amare Spiva 6'1" | CG Pickerington Central | 2025 State OH | 6’2” | NOVA Village 2025 Harrington / Twinam | (Ohio)
Spiva gives you a little bit of everything but was most impressive around the paint. He is an athletic forward that effectively utilized high and low posts. He displayed a soft touch and quick bounce for putback layups. He is elite in transition. Spiva showcased his versatility by playing both on and off the ball. He can initiate the offense with the ball in his hands or he can distribute. A true playmaker that can create his own shots fluidly.
