Gem City Basketball had a 2-2 weekend and competed with some talented teams. I caught them against FCAA and Marshall brought a lot of energy including a breakaway slam that helped Gem City build a big first half lead. When Marshall is aggressive he can find success on the defensive end with his athleticism and length. In the second half Ramy Ahmed had a couple tough takes to the rim to help Gem City hold on.

I caught both of Corey Graham’s 16 U games on Sunday and left impressed with their guard play. Moye was playing up as a 2026 prospect and was a quick guard who got to the basket at will. I liked that he finished at the rim with both hands and looked to push the pace. Moye also worked through traps and used fakes and passes to get angles to find his teammates.
Scott has been a steady riser this spring with OBC’s 16 U group and continued that impressive play on Sunday. One of the better pick and roll maestros in the 2025 class, Scott makes a few eye catching passes every time you watch him. A little more aggressive as a scorer this weekend, Scott wasn’t shy about shooting it from the outside or going to the floater. Expect Scott to be one of the top guards in the federal league as GlenOak should compete for a conference title in 2023-24.
Calloway has had a big spring and got a lot of buzz after a game against Indy Heat at the Bill Hensley Run N Slam. I was able to catch his team for the first time this summer. Calloway is a quick guard who can blow by the initial defender with ease on the initial attack. I also liked that he looked for his teammates further up the court to get easy looks in transition. Defensively, the duo of Calloway and Tyson Perkins Tyson Perkins 5’6″ | PG Westerville North | 2027 OH was giving opposing ball handlers fits with their quickness and ball pressure.
