Here is another mixed bag of 2025 guard talent to watch as the AAU season progresses. There are a couple of big talents at the top of the 2025 class, alongside a few lesser-known names that have performed at a high level in the first few events of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451031' first='Treyshawn' last='Weatherspoon'] | Local Hoops | 2025

Weatherspoon initiates a lot of action for Local Hoops, utilizing the drive to draw in defenders and kick out to open shooters in the corners. He has a shifty dribble that sends defenders going the wrong way and follows it with a big burst toward the rim. The shooting needs some work, but the shot creation and playmaking are readily apparent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1485543' first='Beckham' last='King'] | WA Supreme | 2025

King is now 6-foot-7 but attacks with the same finesse and skill from the outside that we saw from him last summer. He wasn't too involved offensively in the game I watched but with his size and shooting touch, he will be a name to watch as the season goes on. King also has a little bit of handle and wiggle that should get more apparent as he fills out and gets some added strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='1890009' first='Preston' last='Keehn'] | NW Greyhounds | 2025

Keehn's energy was a big factor last weekend. He fought to keep possessions alive, found lanes to penetrate to the hoop, and showed some good ability as a secondary playmaker making things happen downhill.

[player_tooltip player_id='1631547' first='Logan' last='Walker'] | NW Greyhounds | 2025

Walker is a lightning-quick guard who seems to relish making opposing guards uncomfortable. He did a great job at catchup up to and stopping the ball in transition, as well as spacing the floor on the other end with some deep 3-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1954955' first='Nathan' last='Gardner'] | Elite Prep | 2025

On his high school roster Gardner is listed at just 6-feet tall, but watching him play last weekend, he looks closer to 6-foot-3 or so. He demonstrated a good all-around game, punctuated by an attacking mindset on both ends of the court. His stroke looked good from 3-point and he showed a decent level of burst. He could be a deeper find in his class.
