Skaljac is one of the most skilled guards to come out of Ohio with excellent pace and tremendous shot-making ability. A big time scorer who can also run the show for his teammates, there’s few guards more offensively gifted than Skaljac in the 2024 class across the midwest. Skaljac has been kept a little under the radar with a couple mid major offers, but I expect more schools to come calling about Skaljac in either the spring or summer. You can catch Skaljac with the Ohio Buckets during the grassroots season and Brecksville-Broadview Heights during June.

Buckner had an impressive showing at Flyin To The Hoop which earned him a national rankings spot on 247’s national rankings, coming in at 125. 247 is the only national website where Buckner sees a ranking but that could change with an impressive spring with All Ohio Red. Buckner is developing into his body physically and has always taken care of the basketball and made shots from the outside. Playing on the EYBL circuit will show if Buckner is worthy of being a nationally ranked recruit. Currently holding mid major offers, we’ll likely see more schools get involved soon.
A talented shooter at 6’7, 6’8, Bruskotter has a unique skillset for a prospect his size. With his high school team Bruskotter essentially runs point guard where he creates offense for himself and gets to handle the basketball and make plays for others. With the Ohio Buckets, Bruskotter plays a complimentary role where he spaces the floor and rebounds. At the college level he will play a more similar role to this, holding an offer from Toledo, which has done an excellent job with forwards that can space the floor.

A state champion, Nichols took his game to the next level this March and got the ring to back it up. A notable change in his game has been his commitment to the defensive end of the court. Nichols has always had the tools to be an impact defender but now he’s being more active in help-side defense and his body makes it tough for players to outmuscle him on attacks. You can catch Nichols with Indy Heat on the EYBL circuit this spring and summer, as he has interest from numerous low to mid major programs right now.
Another stretch-4 option featured in this article, Ioppolo has good size and floor spacing ability. A player I only got to catch once during the high school season, I’m excited to watch him with Wildcat Select this spring and summer on the 3SSB circuit. This is a crucial spring and summer for prospects in the 2024 class and Ioppolo has the opportunity to prove himself to Division I coaches and get the offers rolling.
