The players listed are exciting prospects that should be a force for their respective teams in 2024.
Gavin Derby Gavin Derby 5’10” | PG Valley Wetzel | 2025 State WV is a combo guard for Valley High School in Pine Grove, West Virginia. In 22 games, Derby scored 467 points. His per game average was 21.2 points per game. Derby is not shy and will shoot it from anywhere on the court. He attempted 409 field goals and made 147 of them for a 36% clip per game. Derby hit 58 three’s and made 115 free throws at a 78% average. Derby is a scorer that can fill it up from all 3 areas of the court. He has a good midrange shot, can hit 3’s and is quick enough to get to the hole on a consistent basis. With Derby on the court things will be stirring in Pine Grove, West Virginia next year for Valley High School basketball.
Parker Watts is a shooting guard from Tolsia High School in Fort Gray, West Virinia. In 20 games, Watts scored 406 points. Watts done a little bit of everything for Tolsia High School. Out of 263 shot attempts, Watts made 141 for an astonishing 54% from the field. Watts made 49 3pointers at a 46% per game average and made 76% of his free throws. Watts is a scoring nightmare for opposing coaches to plan for. In 2024, he will be returning looking to continue his dominance on the court for Tolsia High School.

Donavan Tanouye is a shooting guard from Paw Paw High School in West Virginia. Tanouye is a two-way player that is a defensive standout getting 6 plus steals per game, but he can also fill up the stat lines on offense. In 21 games, Tanouye amassed 386 points. He averaged 18.4 points per game. out of 314 attempts he made 166 for a 53% per game average. Tanouye didn’t take many 3’s only making 14 at a 25% clip. He was an adequate free throw shooter making 76 at a 70% average. Tanouye looks to hit the ground running next year for Paw Paw continuing his dominating ways on the defensive and offensive ends.
Trevan Bonner Trevan Bonner 6’0″ | CG Tucker County | 2025 State WV is a combo guard from Tucker County High School in Hambleton, West Virginia. In only 15 games, Bonner scored 204 points making 72 field goals on 172 field goal attempts for a 46% per game average. He didn’t attempt many 3’s making only 15 for a 26% per game average. He was a decent free throw shooter making 31 for a 65% per game average. Bonner is a scorer that is only going to improve with more minutes and game action. Bonner will look to improve on his stat line in 2024 for Tucker County High School.
Brady Strode Brady Strode 6’2″ | SG Tyler Consolidated | 2025 State WV is a combo guard from Tyler High School in Sisterville, West Virginia. In 25 games, Strode scored 320 points. He done a little bit of everything. He averaged 12.8 points per game. Out of 272 field goal attempts, he made 126 of them for a 46% per game average. Strode didn’t look to take many 3’s making only 15 for a 34% per game average. Strode struggled at the line only making 37 free throws for a 52% per game average. Strode is a good player that has the potential to be dominant and will come into next season looking to improve on his overall stat line for Tyler High School.
