In a matchup of two of the best teams in the entire event, Isaac looked like the best player on the floor for most of the game, especially in crunch time. The 5'10” freshman handled the majority of the ball handling duties for Fury and was getting his teammates involved, but took over the game with his scoring. He was knocking down some extremely difficult shots off the dribble down the stretch to give Fury a late lead. It is very easy to compare his game to fellow Wayzata guard [player_tooltip player_id='1167554' first='Hayden' last='Tibbits'] with the way they can create shots for themselves despite lacking size. This was the first time I had seen Olmstead play in over a year and I was very impressed. He used his solid 6'4” frame to bully opponents down low to convert looks inside and was also a beast rebounding the ball. I was seeing him score from all three levels and made it look effortless at times. Along with his strength, he is very athletic and used that to run in transition, bulldozing his way through smaller opponents on his way to the basket. He also showcased some impressive shot creating abilities off the dribble and his smooth shot from the perimeter. Fenderson looked comfortable stepping into his shots and knocking them down off the catch as well. He could get to the rim in a variety of ways, being able to go to work with his back to the basket, as well as get around his defender in half-court isolation scenarios using the dribble. He did almost all of his scoring a couple steps away from the basket, showing some great touch with floaters and pull-up mid-range jump shots. The freshman guard is lightning quick but he also showed that he could slow the game down and ease into creating shots for himself. He specialized in pick and roll situations, taking the screen then either pulling up from the perimeter or bursting to the rim for a finish when the help defender returned to their man. He was never the tallest player on the floor but had no issues getting shots off when faced with a larger player. The freshman wing was a very confident shooter and never hesitated to pull the trigger in the catch-and-shoot. His mechanics are very smooth and everything looks right when he is in the process of shooting the ball. He has good size for the position he plays, as he stands at an even 6-foot, not being too affected by opponent's contests. Johnson also stuck out to me with the effort he was giving when he was in the game, getting on the floor for loose balls which resulted in positive plays for his team. He has skills well beyond his years and looked like an upperclassman guard when he was on the floor at times. He did not score a whole lot, but when he did, it looked pretty.
