Perhaps no position develops over the course of a high school career more than a post. Here we break down the Bigs that made our Top 60 Rankings List.
Skilled big man that can score with his back to the basket. Has soft hands both when catching the ball and finishing plays around the rim. His biggest question will be if he’s athletic enough to defend college level bigs. Has good strength, is a willing rim runner and has improved his ability to stretch the floor.
Highlights
Snyder is to the outside what Bright is to the interior for players in the class. A modern big that can play comfortably on the perimeter. Snyder is a natural shooter, and is accurate in both pick and pop, and catch and shoot, action. He will be running with the Las Vegas Knicks this Spring, which should provide an opportunity to measure his game against National competiton.
May transition down to a three eventually, but is most effective at the four spot right now. Big time athlete that already has an impact on games with his athleticim. His ceiling will coincide with how fast he increases his dribbling, shooting and passing ability, to match his already next level athleticism.
Raw big man. He has a Rugged frame, and some agility which could help him develop into one of the better rebounders in the class down the line.
Bair has an interesting combination of size, frame, and potential. He plays two sports, however with growth and a focus on basketball, I could see him developing into a sleeper. He runs well, and is skilled enough to catch, and finish on the move. A good competitor with football tougness.
Similar to Bair in that he plays two sports. Runs well, and has no problem playing with a motor. He’s more of a big body banger type, however he has good footwork, and could skill up to become a productive high school player.
He’s perhaps one of the more intriguing bigs. He’s very raw, however he has long arms and a strong upper frame. His movement is ok, and he’s coachable. More floor time and improved hands, will go a long way in his development.
Yousif was a fun player to catch this season. I don’t watch many Del Sol games, so I was fortunate to see him. He has long arms and plays with energy. He’ll need to strengthen his upper frame, but has the speed and quickness to be a future high school small ball four, or wing player.
Caught the young player during the fall. He’s a hybrid type that runs the floor well, and even showed some face up skill. More game reps combined with an overall strengthing of his body will give him an opportunity to rise.
Hard hat, glue guy that wil have to earn his way up the ranks. Evans best skill is his motor, as he’ll defend the interior, as well as relentlessly chase down rebounds on both backboards.
