Playoff Central. The game of the night was Owatonna beating Century 80-72 in double overtime. [player_tooltip player_id='1437434' first='Collin' last='Vick'] had a big time score at the end of the first overtime leading to the second overtime where the Huskies pulled away. Vick had 27 points just barely getting the edge against [player_tooltip player_id='1220356' first='Ryan' last='Ohm'] of Century in a great point guard battle. Ohm had 32 points and eight boards.

The items that caught my eye were those that just barely survived an upset. New Ulm, Lester Prairie, PEM, and Moorhead come to mind. After getting down 14 points at halftime New Ulm relied on a big second half from [player_tooltip player_id='1284109' first='Colton' last='Benson'] to score 29 for the win. Trever Schauer scored 24 and kept Lester Prairie in the playoffs despite a rough half two for the Bulldogs (they won 57-55 vs 10-win Buffalo Lake Hector). PEM is playing [player_tooltip player_id='1492565' first='Kaiden' last='Peters'] just a bit right now because of injury and they nearly lost to Zumbrota-Mazzepa until their defense got real tough only allowing 14 seconds half points for a 51-46 win. [player_tooltip player_id='1339196' first='Aeron' last='Stevens'] had 16 points and nine boards. Moorhead survived a close game all the way to the end with Sartell 57-55. [player_tooltip player_id='1139197' first='Adam' last='Jenkins'] led with 18 points.

Upset City. The biggest eye opener for me was Minneapolis Washburn taking out Robbinsdale Cooper 66-58. [player_tooltip player_id='1284167' first='Kyle' last='Jorgensen'] completely dominated the game with his 36 points and Cooper just could not slow him down especially in the second half. In the same section (6AAAA), Armstrong - who had lost 11 of their last 14 games - beat 19-win Minneapolis Southwest 74-71. Armstrong had four guys in double figures led by [player_tooltip player_id='1140532' first='Owen' last='Skram'] who scored 15 points.

The Big Stage. There are two locations tonight hosting multiple games and that is Willmar and Windom. At Willmar there is the 3AA North games between Litchfield and Eden Valley/Watkins, and New London-Spirce vs Morris Area, while Windom has the 3AA South games. Those match-ups are Redwood Valley vs Jackson County Central and Pipestone Area vs Montevideo.

Chanhassen at Shakopee is likely the game of the night with top point guards [player_tooltip player_id='1287439' first='Max' last='Woods'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1288706' first='Jalen' last='Langsy'] going at it.

Top Performers. Here is the list!

[player_tooltip player_id='962237' first='Trent' last='Gomez'] hit seven threes for Two Harbors scoring 36 points and beating Proctor.

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='962268' first='Sawyer' last='Kaczmarek'] scored 26 leading Glencoe-Silver Lake over Le Sueur-Henderson.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2364156' first='Jackson' last='Harvey'] of Winona went for 26 leading his team over Kasson-Mantorville 79-53.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1284214' first='Tameron' last='Ferguson'] had 26 for St. Cloud Tech who knocked off Willmar 80-44.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1579917' first='Keller' last='Hanson'] scored 20 for Sauk Rapids-Rice who upset Detroit Lakes by a basket.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1287441' first='Brandon' last='Hrncir'] had 26 as Farmington knocked off Northfield scoring 100+

Tip of the Hat to the Career. If you are going to go out, go out at your best. [player_tooltip player_id='1140142' first='Isaiah' last='Hanson'] of Rochester Mayo scored 30 against Lakeville South before the balanced Cougars outlasted the Big Nine squad 79-65. Hanson nearly led Mayo to a 20 win season which was a big accomplishment to itself.
