The 2023 state tournaments are in the books and we watched some great basketball at OU and at the Big House in Oklahoma City. This week, we're taking a look at the best players from each class throughout the state tournament. We're starting off each post with a look at the MVP selection, along with five other All Tournament selections. In this post, it's all about Class 6A as the Edmond North Huskies went back to back. Anchoring the Huskies' balanced attack during the three games was the one-two punch of [player_tooltip player_id='1332074' first='Dylan' last='Warlick'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1367221' first='TO' last='Barrett'].

Double doubles and victories, it what [player_tooltip player_id='1332074' first='Dylan' last='Warlick'] does. In the title game, Warlick did that again with a 16 point and 11 rebound performance. The Tigers have good size for an Oklahoma high school team and they could not stop the 6 foot 6 wing from bullying his way around the rim. Along with being automatic as a scorer from 15 feet and in, Warlick was also a huge connector, with four assists in all three contests. The wing has great touch and vision as a passer when attacking out of the high post. He sets up teammates with easy points at the rim, and also passes well out of the crowds he draws.

Production matters, and arguably over the last two years no player in Oklahoma has produced more than the Edmond North junior. Especially in the biggest moments.

[player_tooltip player_id='1367221' first='TO' last='Barrett'] - Edmond North

When the jumper is falling for Barrett, there might not be a better player in the state. Last Saturday night he went 4-6 from beyond the arc, scoring a game high 17 points in the State Title game win. Barrett is a high ceiling prospect and his impact goes much deeper than what he provides as a shooter. The athletic junior was in double figures all three nights, often making exciting plays in transition and off the dribble. There's still raw aspects to his game but the back to back State Titles speak to how good he already is. And his upside speak to how good he could become.

[player_tooltip player_id='1360350' first='Connor' last='Dow'] - Broken Arrow

Headed to Oklahoma State, on all three days Dow made colligate level plays on both ends for Broken Arrow. Huge off the dribble threes. Gritty defensive plays with blocks and steals. Acrobatic finishes at the rim. The 6 foot 7 senior wing did it all. His best performance came with 22 points in the Tigers' opening victory. In the next two contests he mixed in hitting huge threes, with his previously mentioned improved finishing ability. Dow averaged 15.7 points over the three contests. The future Power 5 wing left a huge mark on the state over the last few years and especially last week.

[player_tooltip player_id='1730459' first='Cam' last='Hunt'] - Choctaw

It might as well have been a coin flip between Hunt and the heroics of his junior teammate Valentine. The senior leader for the junior heavy Yellowjackets was clutch throughout the playoffs. Just when it looked like Edmond North would pull away in the semifinals, it was Hunt hitting tough shot and tough shot that helped Choctaw climb back into it. Over the two games, he stuffed the stat sheet with 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals. A great representation of the complete performances he gave Choctaw during their playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1495344' first='Brandon' last='Mann'] - Owasso

Another coin flip call between a senior and a younger teammate. After a solid 14 points and 7 rebounds performance in the victory over Deer Creek, Mann put the team on his broad shoulders against conference rivals Broken Arrow. The only thing that slowed the powerful wing last Friday night was the referees' whistles. Mann was perfect from the field in the first half, going 7 of 7 for 16 total points. Which included playing through three fouls. Another whistle in the third quarter cut short his contributions for much of the second half. When he checked back in the fourth, he went right back to scoring bucket after bucket around the rim. The senior posted 26 points on a perfect 12-12 shooting performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1367226' first='Darian' last='Grant'] - Moore

One of the best performances of the tournament was overshadowed by the dramatic overtime ending. But the reason the game was in overtime and the need for Choctaw heroics was because of the nearly unstoppable performance from Grant. He went for a tournament high 29 points in that opening round contest, while also grabbing 9 rebounds. The junior wing did his damage while being nearly automatic from 15 feet in. From fadeaway and pull ups, to physical drives and finishes; Grant served up great buckets throughout the game. Especially in the clutch during in the closing moments.
