One of the more physically dominant freshmen I’ve come across, Fogle was a very productive last summer for Wildcat Select 15 U 3SSB. With a body that was ready for varsity basketball, Fogle was one of the most productive players in his conference as a freshman. The biggest area I want to see development with Fogle is as an outside shooter, right now he checks a lot of boxes for a young wing prospect and will be one of the most discussed 2026 prospects in Ohio.
A big-time shooter, Miles was a productive piece for Emmanuel Christian as a freshman playing alongside a talented supporting cast. With his body I think there’s some clear physical upside for Miles over the years as he hits the weight room and gets stronger and develops his body. With his shooting ability, production and that physical upside I think Miles has one of the highest upsides in the 2026 class, which is why he debuts in our top 5.
Another wing who was very productive as a freshman, Plantz played a key role in the success that Genoa had this season. A guy I’ve seen a little less than some other players featured in this article, I’m excited to see Plantz with Wildcat Select this spring and summer. With his size, athleticism and scoring production, it’s clear that right now he is one of the most talented 2026 prospects in the state. Plantz showed off his ability to shoot the ball from the outside and can simply shoot over shorter defenders. Combine that with his coordination and explosiveness and he’s a guy to watch in 2026.
The son of the late Chris Henry, former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, Henry Jr is a football first prospect who has five-star potential. It would be unfair to remove him from our basketball lists solely due to the fact that his future lies on the gridiron. Henry was very productive in the CMAC, showing off his high motor, impressive strength and coordination and ability to finish through contact. One of the most impressive overall athletes I’ve seen in Ohio, Henry Jr has a lot of Sonny Styles Sonny Styles 6’4″ | SF Pickerington Central | 2023 OH in his game on the hardwood.
Another big-time shooting prospect, Smith is a stretch wing capable of playing at either forward position. I’ve already been impressed with the steps Smith has taken with his handle and defensive ability, which still has a way to go, from the fall to the winter. Smith’s shooting ability combined with his size intrigued me in the beginning, but if he continues to impact the game in other ways like secondary passing ability, rebounding and defensively, he can max out his potential that is through the roof.
