takes over the top spot in the 2023 rankings in the state following his tear in the NCISAA ranks. Young showed off his ability to lead by example in leading Greensboro Day School to a NCISAA 3A State crown. The Virginia Tech signee showed in more ways than one he’s an athletic guard that’s capable of scoring in a variety of ways. He’s set to take the ACC by storm in 2023-24 as a freshman as he moves on to the next level this fall.

moves into the second spot in the rankings following Myers Park High’s first state title victory in school history this past Sunday. Strong showed off his ability to pass out of the post and finish around the rim as he finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists in their state final victory over Richmond County. He’s one of the top available seniors in the state after de-committing from Wofford University a few months ago and should draw a ton of high-major and mid-major interest going forward.

. had himself quite a busy senior campaign in the Combine Academy backcourt as he moves into the 3rd spot in the overall rankings. He produced 13.9 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 5.7 apg and 1.8 spg as one of the top combo guards in the state to know this season. He’s become quite the efficient scoring guard in 2022-23, shooting 55 percent from the field and 31 percent from 3-point land as he closes out his career this weekend at the HoopState Championship. He’ll be one to keep eyes on with the USC Trojans in the Pac-12.

moves into the 4th spot, up from No. 12 in the last update after leading Asheville School on quite the tear in 2022-23. He led the way for the Blues with 19.8 ppg and closed out his career against Carmel Christian with 36 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in quite the losing effort. He’s a true floor general that’s still available in the state of North Carolina with strong court-savvy and an edge that allows him to navigate defenses for easy points. He’ll be quite the get for a Division I program soon.

is a recent import from Virginia into the Word of God Academy rotation that’s made quite the splash on the wing at 6-foot-5. He’s an athletic wing prospect that can operate off the bounce and finish at the rim and also space the floor with his ability to knock down shots. He’s a name that’s currently committed to the College of Charleston.

Robinson has seen his stock grow quite a bit since coming onto the scene with Christ School a few summers ago. He finds himself at the No. 6 spot, up from eighth, since committing to USF of the American Athletic Conference. He’s a versatile 6-foot-9 forward that’s just scratching the surface of what he can do on both ends of the floor and coming off a 31-4 season with the Greenies. He produced 8.7 ppg, 8.7 rpg and 1.7 bpg as a senior.

is another senior guard that’s signed with Richmond University in the Combine Academy rotation that’s remained in the Top 10 and moved into the 7th spot in the final update. He was one of four scorers in double-figures for them in 2022-23 with 12.6 ppg, 5.6 rpg and 1.7 apg while shooting 35 percent from 3-point range on the year. He’s a name that should make waves for years to come in the Atlantic 10 Conference very soon.

is another name from Christ School that had himself quite the senior campaign. He’s a physically-imposing guard that uses his size to his advantage on the floor in more ways than one. He put up 12.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3.3 apg and 1.6 spg at the off-guard spot for the Greenies as they went 31-4 and 6-2 in conference action in 2022-23. He’s set to make quite the splash with

is another state champion hailing from Farmville Central that’s seen his stock rise into the Top 10 in the final update for the 2023 rankings. He’s a University of New Orleans commit set to take the Southland Conference by storm given his ability to fly above the rim on both ends and make things happen on the hardwood. He went out on top with a 35-point performance in their victory in the state final over Reidsville High.

closes out the final spot in the Top 10 rankings in the 2023 class following his career at Carmel Christian School. He finished the year averaging 14.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 3.5 apg and 1.4 spg before committing to Queens University over the past week. He’ll certainly be a steal for the Royals’ in Atlantic Sun Conference just right up the road from him in Charlotte.
