John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI — PG — De Pere
At the high school level, Kinziger truly is the ideal point guard. Even when he isn’t scoring, the De Pere standout still finds a way to leave a positive impact on the game. He plays great on-ball defense and is also an excellent passer. In a win on Thursday night, the PG tallied 19 points. When Kinziger is playing his best basketball, I don’t see many teams beating the Redbirds.
Julian Alvarez Julian Alvarez 6'0" | SG Pius XI | 2024 State WI Robles — G — Pius XI
Jaquan Johnson Jaquan Johnson 5'10" | PG Pius XI | 2024 State WI of Pius XI has been outstanding this season. Johnson once again played a good game on Thursday. But it was Alvarez Robles who stole the show. The guard caught fire from three, as he converted on 9-13 attempts from downtown. You don’t see too many shooting performances like this at the high school level. Alvarez Robles certainly deserves his flowers. If the guard can continue to shoot well, Pius XI will be a really tough team to stop.
Taylor Schaefer — F — Southern Door
Schaefer played his best game of the season on Thursday night. In a victory, the Southern Door forward scored 23 points. Schaefer — who is also a standout on the football field — is a great athlete. He uses his physicality and strength to succeed on the basketball court.
Xzavion Mitchell Xzavion Mitchell 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2025 State #119 Nation WI — PF — Oshkosh North
I think that Mitchell is going to be an outstanding player at the high school level for years to come. The athletic power forward is very dangerous as a slasher. He uses his combination of size, strength, and skill to score in the paint. On Thursday, Mitchell tallied 35 points on 15-23 shooting. The Oshkosh North standout also displayed his smooth three-point shot. He knocked down 3-4 shots from distance in a win over Germantown.
Casey Stuedemann — F — D.C Everest
Stuedemann is a prospect to watch out for in Wisconsin’s 2025 class. Playing for a very good D.C Everest squad, the sophomore has been able to carve out a significant role for himself. In a winning effort on Thursday, the forward put together one of his finest performances. He scored 18 points on 8-9 shooting from the field.
Omar Fofana — G — Messmer
You don’t see too many freshmen contribute to a varsity team the way Fofana is for Messmer this season. The 5-foot-11 guard has proven himself to be a talented scorer. He shoots an efficient percentage from three and scores well around the hoop. On Thursday, Fofana tallied 21 points on 9-17 shooting. Expect big things from Fofana for the rest of his high school career.
Henry Meyer Henry Meyer 6'3" | SG La Crosse Central | 2024 State WI — G — La Crosse Central
Meyer has made a strong impression on scouts this season. The La Crosse Central guard has clearly made a significant leap. He is now scoring 16.7 points per game on a high shooting percentage. On Thursday, Meyer scored 24 points in a win. College programs should take a good look at Meyer. He is a skilled prospect who could certainly find success at the next level.
