Melo has had a huge season for a Douglass team that wasn’t necessarily expected to be that great this season. Now they’ve set a school record for wins and have a shot to win the 11th region and get to Rupp. Boone is a tremendous athlete and has the physical tools to lock down opposing guards. His jump shot is still a work in progress but he makes enough shots that you have to respect his shooting. Don’t be surprised if he’s a top 5-10 player in the next update.
Boone’s running mate has had a breakout season in his own right as Chenault has been attacking rims all over central Kentucky. Aveion is long and super bouncy and has even shown he is a good rim protector on defense at 6’3. Similarly, he still needs to smooth out his three point shooting but Chenault has the God given tools to earn multiple offers this summer.
Sticking with the theme of long and athletic players, Elijah Walton Elijah Walton 6’5″ | SF University Heights | 2025 State KY definitely fits that bill. Walton had to play more post than wing for UHA but projects as a 3 at the next level. As such, Elijah needs to continue improving his overall skill level. Athletically, there aren’t many better leapers in Kentucky’s Sophomore class and the 6’5 wing will only keep getting better.
Highlights
Jonah is a player who really affects winning in multiple ways. As evidenced with his 3 triple doubles he had this season, Butler is an excellent passer and rebounder and can score the ball when he wants to. A very unselfish player, the 6’5 wing really values winning and it shows with his play on the court.
