Guard play will be key in the opening round as it is a reason teams go far in postseason play. Here are the guards who could spark a deep run in the Shore Conference Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='902736' first='Isaac' last='Hester'], 6'0 PG Ranney 2023

Hester has been leading the way for the Panthers all season and the addition of [player_tooltip player_id='1400498' first='Jahlil' last='Bethea'] has helped lighten the scoring load for him. The 6'0 guard has a good first step, which he uses to get by his defender and finish around the basket. Hester rises up with confidence on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He has shown the ability to move off the ball and moves his feet on the defensive end. Hester and Bethea have been crucial for Ranney in 2022-23 as the Panthers look to make a deep run in the Shore Conference Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411404' first='Darius' last='Adams'], 6'4 SG Manasquan 2025

Adams has been consistent for the Warriors so far this season as he's led them to the top seed in the Shore Conference Tournament. The 6'4 guard has a smooth release to his jumper and is comfortable shooting off the bounce. Adams has a nice handle, which he uses to get to the rim and can finish in a variety of ways. He uses his length to make an impact on the defensive end and can run the offense. Adams is a talented guard prospect who is looking to get Manasquan back to the Shore Conference Tournament final.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580578' first='Jayden' last='Hodge'], 6'4 SG St. Rose 2026

Hodge has had a standout freshman season for the Purple Roses as he has shown the ability to score the ball in a variety of ways. The 6'4 guard plays with poise with the ball in his hands as he's rarely sped up and knows how to get to his spot on the floor. Hodge is a crafty finisher around the basket and is unafraid of drawing contact in the paint. He wastes little motion in his jumper and slides his feet on the defensive end. Hodge is one of the top freshmen in the Garden State and should put it on display during the Shore Conference Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206532' first='Dylan' last='Csik'], 5'10 PG Middletown South 2023

Csik has been running the show for the Eagles' offense this season as they are the hottest team in the Shore Conference with 15 straight wins. The Mount St. Mary College commit makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and threads passes to open teammates in the half court. Csik has a good handle and knows how to finish around the basket. He makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc and gets deflections on the defensive end. Csik is a true point guard prospect whose control of the offense is key for Middletown South to make a deep run in the Shore Conference Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150543' first='Will' last='Bradley'], 6'2 SG CBA 2023

Bradley is a guard to watch in the Shore Conference Tournament as he has the ability to get hot from distance in a hurry. The 6'2 guard is a marksman from distance as he has a quick release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Bradley moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He works hard on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Bradley's shooting is something that will be key for CBA in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Other Prospects to Watch:

Micah Ford, 6'1 G Toms River North 2024

[player_tooltip player_id='1206523' first='Jack' last='O'Leary'], 6'1 CG Raritan 2023

[player_tooltip player_id='933644' first='Samir' last='Padilla'], 5'10 PG Jackson Memorial 2023

[player_tooltip player_id='1150289' first='Malachi' last='Harris'], 5'9 PG Freehold Township 2023

[player_tooltip player_id='1786395' first='Luke' last='Schorr'], 6'2 PG Rumson Fair-Haven 2025
