What teams are playing above expectations this year and why? And who is a player getting them there? We dive into that now!

Blaine (13-10). It has been a nice year for the Bengals with senior [player_tooltip player_id='1639357' first='Ryan' last='Bohlman'] scoring 18 a game and junior [player_tooltip player_id='1639305' first='Ethan' last='Pettis'] averaging 17.5 a contest. Blaine has an outside shot at 7AAAA but they will have likely have to get through Duluth East AND Anodver.

Eagan (14-9). The Wildcats have won 2-3 more games than I expected this year and their senior balance has helped get them there. [player_tooltip player_id='962213' first='Emmanuel' last='Schmitter'] is averaging 13.5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assist a game.

Edina (13-10). The Hornets have wins over Lakeville South, Shakopee, East Ridge, Buffalo (twice), and White Bear Lake. Jon Bryant has a balanced team that is the second best in 2AAAA this year. [player_tooltip player_id='1284163' first='Josiah' last='Coleman'] leads the team in scoring.

Minneapolis Southwest (17-7). It's been a great year for Southwest who is pushing towards a 20 win season! They've only lost three city league games this season and [player_tooltip player_id='1297887' first='Liam' last='Farniok'] is scoring 24 a game while [player_tooltip player_id='1226376' first='Caden' last='Sullivan'] has been quite versatile.

Robbinsdale Cooper (15-6). The Hawks always play above expectations as Bo Powell does a great job. Once again they have had a star step forward with [player_tooltip player_id='1638427' first='Michael' last='Cooper'] averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds a game.

Rochester Century (15-8). [player_tooltip player_id='1332274' first='Shaun' last='Wysocki'] has emerged for Century this year and while he's done that his team has won 15 games with another 3-4 weeks go go. That is about 7-8 more games than many expected them to win.

Rochester Mayo (16-7). Rochester Mayo is pry where they should be but I didn't really see the depth on their team until fall league so early previews did not represent what they should have. [player_tooltip player_id='1140142' first='Isaiah' last='Hanson'] is having a fantastic season.

Roseville (13-8). Like Mayo, we noticed that Roseville was better than we were aware of in the fall league. [player_tooltip player_id='1671420' first='Evan' last='Fischer'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1170508' first='Ataa-Adjetey' last='Mensah'] are each scoring 14-15 points a game.
