The most newsworthy thing to come out of Indiana high school basketball scene was that five-star, Cathedral forward [player_tooltip player_id='868219' first='Xavier' last='Booker'] made the the prestigious McDonald's All American Roster. He will be a part of the East roster. As far as prospects go, Booker is arguably the best in the 2023 class. He had a major, breakout summer which would eventually lead him to committing to Michigan State. He has been having a solid year for Cathedral and is a big reason why the Irish are 12-3 on the year so far. Booker and Cathedral will be playing at Louisville Western (Ky.) on Saturday.

In the win over Silver Creek the past weekend, Benter broke the all-time Brownstown scoring record, previously held by his dad, dropping 48 points and then followed it up with a 51 point performance at Austin last night. The Purdue commit is playing at an elite level and is a shoe-in to be named a junior all-star. Brownstown had Charlestown on Friday.
