True State Contender

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After 10+ games in the books and a few tournaments as well and the prospects showing their skills and coaches showing their hands we take a look at a few state contenders in the 6A-4A Classifications. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>4A</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Contenders:</strong> Dixie, Ridgeline, Layton Christian, Sky View</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It seems like it is the same contenders that we had prior to the start of this season. It is nice to know we got something right. Dixie has a stacked schedule this year as they played anyone and everyone, anywhere. [player_tooltip player_id='1185179' first='Kyle' last='Lemke'] has really matured and he is a man out there among these kids. They run a four guard set and they are able to spread the floor and at times they can pick apart teams with their ball movement. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ridgeline has a team to contend with anyone. [player_tooltip player_id='1235094' first='Jagger' last='Francom'] is a load and he seems to be healthy now. [player_tooltip player_id='1392877' first='Carson' last='Cox'] has been playing well and he is an underrated college prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Layton Christian has been playing some tough teams but the style of play that they are playing against might not match the level of play in 4A. Either way when [player_tooltip player_id='1332624' first='Souleymane' last='Barro'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1402371' first='Tyrese' last='Lacey'] they are good. They go deep and they have been known to play 13 players in a game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1554674' first='Otavio' last='Armani'] </strong>could be a matchup problem in tournament play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sky View has talent behind [player_tooltip player_id='969255' first='Logan' last='Deal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1559781' first='Tanner' last='Davis']. This duo is super tough and they are legit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>5A</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Contenders:</strong> Alta, Olympus, Woods Cross, Cottonwood, Lehi, Timpview, Springville</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's start by saying that anything can happen in 5A. Do not count out Skyline, Box Elder, Murray or anyone. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sprinville has height and shooting and that is a dangerous combo. [player_tooltip player_id='1278439' first='Jamyn' last='Sondrup'] is big time prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Olympus is dangerous with [player_tooltip player_id='1057020' first='Jordan' last='Barnes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1057034' first='Dutch' last='Dowdell'] on the floor and they are always on the floor. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Woods Cross has a dynamic duo in [player_tooltip player_id='934027' first='Mason' last='Bendinger'] and [player_tooltip player_id='969245' first='Jaxon' last='Smith'] and they are the only team in the state to take down American Fork.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Alta has been #1. for us for a long time and they have been tested but they seem sharper as [player_tooltip player_id='1057035' first='Ace' last='Reiser'] has been a great addition and [player_tooltip player_id='1298532' first='Jaxon' last='Johnson'] is playing at the highest level he has in high school. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cottonwood has some dudes. [player_tooltip player_id='1384525' first='Chris' last='Cox'] paired with some shooters is a problem. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lehi and [player_tooltip player_id='1057037' first='Cooper' last='Lewis'] can light it up from deep. They smacked Timpview earlier this month. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Timpview has bounced back and they will be a tough out in the tournament. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>6A</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Top Contenders: </strong>American Fork, Cyprus, Corner Canyon, Syracuse, Fremont, Layton</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>6A is top heavy but we will see what teams do after some losses and how they adjust. American Fork is good they have a lot of height and can slowly grind games out. [player_tooltip player_id='1057050' first='Tiger' last='Cuff'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1538434' first='Blake' last='Rawson'] have been solid. [player_tooltip player_id='934024' first='Aaron' last='Dunne'] and [player_tooltip player_id='969235' first='Ashton' last='Wallace'] are key players as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='934040' first='Max' last='Toombs'] is playing very well and he is scoring like crazy. Kellen Lewis is tough and so is [player_tooltip player_id='969631' first='Jaxson' last='Roberts']. Brody is a legit HM player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cyprus is a team nobidy wants to see on their side of the bracket. [player_tooltip player_id='934030' first='Quentin' last='Meza'] is unreal. [player_tooltip player_id='1057025' first='Diego' last='Mulford'] shoots lights out. [player_tooltip player_id='1129113' first='Spies' last='Tia'] is an Energizer Bunny.
