Henderson is an athletic wing who stood out at the 270 Hoops prospect camp over the summer, I finally got my opportunity to scout him in person a couple weeks ago at a high school game. I was impressed with Henderson’s athleticism and defensive upside. I also liked his motor and potential to shoot the ball down the road. A name to watch in central Ohio’s 2025 class.
Stokes showed some promise with the Ohio Buckets this summer but watching him with his high school team proved his ability to be added to the list. Stokes can score the ball in a variety of ways and has good positional size. Also running point guard for his high school, Stokes has the ball in his hands often and is learning how to get others involved while still looking to score for himself. This is one of the best players in the SBC right now and will only get better over the next two years.
Chaminade Julienne is the top team in Division II and while the Washington brothers are the stars of the team, it’s guys like Cartwright that also play key roles in their success. An athletic wing guard, Cartwright is a good defender with impressive athleticism and length. A capable shot-maker as well, Cartwright could see his points per game rocket up as an upperclassman.
Sims has had a solid season for Canton McKinley in the tight federal league. A wing guard who has some on-ball ability, Sims mostly plays a spot-up and attack closeouts role for the Pups right now with their upperclassmen guards. An impressive athlete, Sims has some upside that he can show over the next few years. I like where Sims is at now within his development and see him only getting better this spring and summer and really showing what he can do as a Junior and Senior.
Highlights
Waleskowski has had a great season for St Xavier, being one of the leading scorers in the GCL-South. Waleskowski plays at his own pace and does a good job of getting open in a deliberate St Xavier half-court offense. With his scoring numbers and offensive ability I’m very curious to watch Waleskowski again because the one game I caught of his this season was a lower scoring game than usual for him, suggesting he could have even more upside to show me the next time I watch the bombers.
