A 6-1 off-ball guard who moves well without the ball in his hands, Meyer had a solid day shooting the ball for the Wildcats, going 2-4 from behind the arc en route to 10 points. He has a quick release off the catch and showed some ability to put the ball on the floor and attack as well.
SG Mason Badtram (Durant)
Badtram is a good athlete who does a great job competing on the glass despite being one of the smaller players on the floor. A 5-10 guard who can attack the rim and defend on the ball, he had 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals off the bench for the Wildcats in their loss to Beckman.
SG Hunter Putman (Bellevue)
Putman had a big game in the Comets win over West Branch, scoring 16 points on 7-12 shooting (2-4 3P), 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He showed the ability to score from all three levels, and the ability to do so both off the dribble and the catch. He’s a solid secondary ball-handler and playmaking threat who sees the floor well and is a good passer.
PF Reese Trepanier Reese Trepanier 6'0" | SF West Branch | 2024 State IA (West Branch)
A physical 6-3/6-4 power forward who uses his strength to power through contact and finish around the rim, Trepanier is an active player on both ends of the floor. He has soft hands, good footwork, and he handles it pretty well for a young big man.
SG Josh Wiersema (Camanche)
A 6-0 combo guard who can play with and without the ball in his hands, Wiersema had 9 points on 3-5 shooting from the arc, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in the Storm’s loss to Mid-Prairie. He’s a good shooter off the catch and a solid playmaker who sees the floor well.
PG Peyton Schilling Peyton Schilling 6'0" | PG Monticello | 2024 IA (Monticello)
A 6-0 lead guard, Schilling is a reliable ball-handler and solid on-ball defender who makes an impact on both ends of the floor for the Panthers. He can shoot it from deep, create his own shots, and he’s a solid passer who sees the floor well. He had 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in their win over Regina.
PG Eddie Petersen (Regina)
Petersen played a solid all-around game for the Regals, scoring 12 points on 5-10 shooting (2-5 3P) with 6 assists and 2 blocks. A 6-0 guard who keeps the ball moving and can shoot it both off the dribble and the catch, he uses his length effectively on the defensive end to contest shots.
PF Drew Streb (Regina)
A big, physical 6-2 power forward who showed some deft touch on his jumper as well out to about 15 feet, Streb had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Monticello. He has soft hands and does a great job using his physicality to control the glass.
PF John Devery (Regina)
Devery’s future lies on the gridiron, where he’s a solid prospect as an offensive or defensive tackle, but he’s a solid basketball player as well who uses his physical frame to control the glass and finish around the rim. The 6-4 power forward had 9 points and 8 rebounds in the Regals’ loss.
SG Tye Hardin Tye Hardin 6'0" | PG Maquoketa | 2024 State IA (Maquoketa)
Hardin is at his best when he’s playing downhill and attacking the rim, which he did routinely in Maquoketa’s win over Wilton, finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds. He’s a good athlete who finishes well around the rim and is a solid team defender who rotates well and blocks shots.
SF Carter Meyer Carter Meyer 5'11" | SF Maquoketa | 2024 State IA (Maquoketa)
Meyer showed the ability to score from all three levels for the Cardinals, scoring 15 points on 5-9 shooting (2-5 3P) with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. He’s a good perimeter shooter with a quick release off the catch, and he showed that he can be a solid secondary playmaker.
