Evan Anderson – 2024 – SG – Onalaska
Starting to really fall in love with Anderson’s junior season. Each time I see him, he looks a little better and could even trend toward a Division 1 prospect. The lanky, bouncy 6-foot-4 two-guard, Anderson is a slasher, but has worked in a mean step-back game this winter. Anderson is an explosive athlete that can dunk on your head, but love that he’ll play under control off two feet in traffic. Anderson knows how to maneuver around defenders, avoid charges, split through tight gaps. Defensively, Anderson plays the passing lanes exceptionally well. He’s very opportunistic. Whether it’s himself or a teammate gets a hand on the basketball, Anderson often finds himself out ahead of the pack. In a blowout win over Waunakee, Anderson finished with a game-high 16 points in the win.
Devin Brown Devin Brown 6'7" | PF Milwaukee Academy Of Science | 2025 State #196 Nation WI – 2025 – PF – Milwaukee Academy of Science
MAS isn’t going to see a lot of teams that can out-athlete them like Grandview Christian, but the young Novas played a very strong game. The sophomore finished with 24 points against a strong, athletic frontcourt. A kid that has a lot of good measurables, you’re starting to see the skillset catch up with Brown. He’s a high-flyer and arguably the best jumper in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, but Brown has developed an effective slashing game from the high post and can also step away from the rim and shoot the ball a bit. Defensively, Brown is an impact player as well. He’s always blocking/altering shots from the weakside and doing it with intensity.
Keaton Frisch Keaton Frisch 6'7" | SF Waunakee | 2024 State WI – 2024 – F – Waunakee
Waunakee was overpowered by Onalaska on Friday, but Frisch had some good moments, particularly defensively. The bouncy and lengthy 6-foot-6 forward covered up a lot of mistakes and had four blocks in the first half alone. Thought Frisch was Waunakee’s most effective offensive weapon. Onalaska is so good with their help and recover defense and forming a wall near the rim. Frisch was able to neutralize that when he went 1-on-1 on the block and scored with ease. He didn’t knock them down, but Frisch also showed a sweet mid-range fall-away game, which at his size, is going to be next to impossible to defend. Frisch finished with a team-high 11 points in the loss.
Peter Lattos Peter Lattos 6'5" | SF West Salem | 2023 State WI – 2023 – SF – West Salem
Continuing to show he’s a Division 2 prospect, Lattos had 23 points against a very talented Park Center squad. Lattos struggled with turnovers, but shot the ball exceptionally well, going 7-of-11 from the field. The 6-foot-7 senior also grabbed eight rebounds on Saturday. A wing with a good blend of skill and strength, Lattos can get the ball in the hole in a variety of ways. He’s got the quickness in his stroke to shoot screens and pin downs. Lattos is sneaky athletic to be able to take guys off the dribble and pull-up in the mid-range. He’s also not afraid to utlizse mismatches and take people down to the block, scoring with his back to the basket. In some of West Salem’s biggest games over the past two years, Lattos has elevated his play and did so once again on Saturday.
Tyler Orr Tyler Orr 5'10" | PG Rice Lake | 2023 State WI – 2023 – PG – Rice Lake
Orr came out hot and hit a couple of jumpers early. Once he get the defense’s attention, Orr was able to really start getting defenders off their feet with a pump fake, that opened up so much for his game. Orr was able to get high percentage, rhythm buckets, both in the mid-range and at the bucket. Orr just scores like a professional. There’s no expression change on his face after a make or miss. His demeanor doesn’t change. If he misses a shot or two, it’s flushed from his system immediately. He’s just all about business. In a tight win over Caledonia, Orr posted 28 points (10-18) and five rebounds.
Zach Orr – 2025 – G – Rice Lake
Like his older brother, mentioned above, Zach is also a shot maker. The sophomore guard chipped in with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including six 3-pointers. Thought Orr was also very active defensively, maybe not recording stats on that end, but covering up for mistakes and wiping away points off the board that way by just being in the right spot. Orr also had five rebounds and three assists. When Orr gets the ball up the floor, he’s looking to launch and makes defenders pick him up early…or else.
Cody Schmitz Cody Schmitz 6'4" | SG Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau | 2024 State WI – 2024 – SG – G-E-T
You could tell LaCrescent (MN) was trying to limit Schmitz. It didn’t matter early. The junior guard came right out of the gate and scored the first 11 points for G-E-T. The opposition started to figure Schmitz and G-E-T out later in the first half and Schmitz was forced to go 1-on-2 or even 1-on-3 at times. For the most part, Schmitz remained patient, didn’t force a lot, and compensated by getting to the free throw line. Schmitz had 20 points at the break. By the second half, it got to the point where he almost couldn’t breathe on the floor. The opposition was practically hugging Schmitz wherever he went and if he put the ball on the ground, multiple defenders swarmed. Schmitz finished with 22 points on an efficient 7-of-13 shooting.
Eli Selk Eli Selk 6'3" | SG Waunakee | 2025 State WI – 2025 – SG – Waunakee
Have seen Waunakee a couple times now and Selk has impressed quietly. The sophomore guard comes off the bench and provides instant offense with his 3-point shooting ability. Selk has a very sweet, smooth, and effortless stroke. He doesn’t need a lot of space either and seems to have the green light whenever he wants to the Warriors, who tend to play a more methodical, equal-opportunity style. Selk had 15 points on four 3-pointers in a win over St. Cloud Tech, helping Waunakee bounce back from a blowout loss the night earlier. Averaging around eight points per game as a sophomore, Selk has played his way onto our watch list.
Jakari Smith Jakari Smith 6'4" | SG Bradley Tech | 2026 State WI – 2026 – G – Milwaukee Bradley Tech
This freshman can play. Milwaukee Bradley Tech got matched up against Minneapolis North in a track meet. Smith held his own and then some, pouring in a team-high 18 points. Smith came in averaging 6.0 ppg this season, but had an outburst in La Crosse. Not to be overshadowed, Smith grabbed 14 rebounds from the guard spot. The Trojans were struggling early with a lot of turnovers, but Smith helped turn the tide. A long, bouncy guard that competes, Smith does a great job of getting on the offensive glass and keeping plays alive. In traffic, he doesn’t act like a youngster at times. You get him the ball in high percentage areas, Smith doesn’t hesitate while surrounded by length and athleticism, just puts the ball up.
T.J. Stuttley T.J. Stuttley 6'3" | SG Onalaska | 2025 #246 Nation MO – 2025 – G/W – Onalaska
Thought Stuttley was the best player on the floor in a high level matchup with Wauwatosa West. In a game that both teams really needed to bolster their resume, it was Stuttley and Onalaska that came through. The sophomore dropped a game-high 18 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. Perhaps most impressively, Stuttley was guarding a 6-foot-10 center the entire game and recorded two steals and a block on that end of the floor. In a game that was somewhat of a grind, Stuttley powered his way to the rim on numerous occasions and was able to put the exclamation point on the game with a massive slam in traffic.
