TJ took over in the second half to help BSM pick up their second win over Orono. The unsigned senior wing immediately picked up two finishes at the rim, including a dunk in transition to give his team a bunch of momentum early in the half. He was putting his strong 6’5 frame to use getting into the lane, and either powering his way to the basket, or showcasing his touch with a short jumper. Did a nice job of moving his feet defensively and forcing some tough shots out of his man. Someone who can defend a number of spots on the floor because of how he can move laterally at his size.

TJ has done a great job of slotting himself into a BSM team that already featured a couple of big name prospects. Early on this season he has done a great job of finding his shots within the flow of the offense, and not forcing his game. TJ was dangerous catching out of the high-post and hitting a quick turnaround jumper, and also posed a threat from three off the catch. Out in transition he’s so tough to stop because he has explosive athleticism to finish above the rim, and the strength/body control to go straight through guys to score through contact. Defensively he covered a lot of ground with his length and agility and really plugged up any potential driving lanes for Breck.

T.J. Stuttley – The new to BSM guard Stuttley started his Minnesota High School basketball season with a 24 point, 8 rebound, and 5 assist performance. The six-foot-five-inch 2025 guard hit 3 3-pointers and had an easy open court all alone dunk.

BSM didn’t have Jalen Wilson Jalen Wilson Jalen Wilson 6'7" | PF Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2025 State #230 Nation MN on Sunday, but still managed to win comfortably over Mankato East. A big reason why was the slashing ability of TJ Stuttley. At 6’4-6’5 he has a strong and explosive frame, and excels at getting to the rack and finishing through contact. Mankato East just didn’t have someone with the combination of size and agility to contain him, and it allowed him to consistently get into the lane for high percentage looks.

This was my first time seeing TJ play and he will be one of the top players in the state if he officially makes the move to BSM. He is an elite athlete, and showed flashes of making huge plays above the rim. He can stretch the floor, being a good option for teammates to look to in the catch-and-shoot. He is very smooth and always looked under control when attacking the rim. He could make one move to get around his defender and knife his way all the way to the rim for a tough finish with either hand.

It may not have been the prettiest 22 points, but you can’t deny the production that TJ had against Minneapolis North. At 6’5 he was running the point a lot for his team, and although just a sophomore he has a mature frame that allowed him to get into the paint just about any time he wanted to. Once there the defense was left with no choice but to foul as he’s such a gifted finisher. TJ did struggle at the line, but he still has a few years to improve on those percentages. Stuttley impressed with his ability to handle and calmly make decisions under heavy pressure at 6’5, as well as creating high percentage scoring opportunities.

T.J. Stuttley | 6’4″ | 2025 | OnalaskarnTJ Stuttley has some big-time colleges interested on his trail including the University of Wisconsin. The 6’4/5″ prospect is coming into his own and his play is starting to show. He is trusted as his team’s leader and that is bringing out a confidence that is noticeable in his play style. He is currently playing mostly the lead guard role, which with his size, will be very attractive as a prospect as he continues to progress. Currently, a top five prospect in the state for his class.
