Peyton Johnson | 5’10” | CG | 2024 | Menomonee FallsrnI like this prospect who this year transferred from Tosa West into Menomonee Falls. As we have crossed the halfway point of the season, I suspect we will see more activity from the player who was beleaguered by an illness most of the first half of the season. Still, he is putting up a solid 11.6 ppg on his junior campaign. I see a recruitable player who I thought was just a 3-point specialist, but today tallied an unofficial 19 points, mostly on short jumpers and put backs. Moving forward he’ll have to increase his assist per game production and gain some muscle strength to maximize his recruiting profile. I would also like to see the next level of tenacity on defense but I believe the talent is there waiting to come out. It is very probable that we could be talking about this prospect’s shooting ability into next year which could make him attractive to a D3 or NAIA school.
Tristan Johanknecht Tristan Johanknecht 6’9″ | PF Oshkosh West | 2023 State WI | 6’9″ | C | 2023 | Oshkosh WestrnJohankneckt is leading his team in points per game at a strong 15.2 and in rebounds with 9 per contest. Today he looked strong, with his movements, and was a force inside, posting 20 points, in his team’s win. In that contest, when his team needed a score there was Tristan. He utilized his size and superior strength to grab a board and score with a put back. He also displayed solid big man footwork, with moves to the bucket to convert on several baskets.

Drew Blair | 6’2″ | G | 2024 | Oshkosk WestrnBlair is primarily a gridiron player but showed out today on the hardwood. Normally only scores just over 6 per contest, but today was his day where he drooped an impressive 18 points. This was the key to his team jumping on the opponent and assuring the victory over Menomonee Falls. I found him a tough competitor, who was very active today. He consistently came through with a bucket when his team needed a score.
Jaden Guyton Jaden Guyton 6’0″ | PG Whitefish Bay | 2023 WI | 6’1″ | G | 2023 | Whitefish BayrnWhen you say a player stood up and jumped on a competitor, you would have to say that’s what this senior guard did in the first half of his team’s game today by scoring a strong 18 points. Guyton was all over the place and score mostly going to the hoop, but added some charity stripe points along the way. After that strong first half he ended with a stylish 28. He just appeared quicker than the guards assigned to guard him and with that also handled a press with ease. He averages an impressive 21.3 point per game on the year and did nothing but improve on those marks. A guard like this should do very well once the high school playoffs start. He stated that the D3 school Lakeland has expressed interest in recruiting him.

Charlie Geske Charlie Geske 6’4″ | SF Brookfield Central | 2024 State WI | 6’3 | W | 2023 | Brookfield Central rnIn a tightly contested game Charlie Geske Charlie Geske 6’4″ | SF Brookfield Central | 2024 State WI was a bright spot once again for the 13-2 Brookfield Central Lancers. Geske, who at one point many considered an unknown quantity, because of his unsung playing style, is quickly becoming someone we all should know his name. In the second half, after he hit a couple shots in a row, I realized this prospect had 20. I am impressed with the way he just works and when his team needed a bucket he was in the right spot at the right time. Averaging 14.6ppg on the year, the 22 he dropped today will of course help that. Come playoff time the Lancer’s will be a tough beat if his performances like this continues. Then if he works during the summer, it could springboard him into a solid senior year.

Thomas Meyers Thomas Meyers 6’0″ | PG Kimberly | 2024 State WI | 6″1″ | PG | 2024 | KimberlyrnIn a competitive game that had both teams just work their butts off, Kimberely was able to pull away and secure the victory. Mostly behind Meyers’ leadership and scoring, which saw him post 24 points. I found it unique that Papermakers kept looking for Meyers throughout the game, and with that said, he controlled the pace mostly. In the game he hit a total of five 3-pointers. Three of those coming just as the game was getting tighter in the second frame. He was just as cool as they come to nail those three in a row to basically secure the game. Loved how, at the end of the game you could tell that he had given it his all, tired and drench in sweat. He is averaging 10.2 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 3.4 apg and surpassed all of those marks today. This summer look for this prospect on Club 1848 having moved from Chapman North.
John Kinziger John Kinziger 6’0″ | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI | 6’0″ | PG | 2023 | De PerernJohn Kinzinger doing John Kinzinger things is how this game’s first half started. The state’s consummate point guard plays at a different level than most and he went about his business against a tough Homestead club. John put up 16 first half points, but it’s truly more than that. He always seems to be in the correct spot defensively, makes a timely steal, grabs that important rebound, or makes that crucial shootable pass to a teammate. John has always been known as the highest IQ player there could be, coming down the home stretch of his senior season it will be exciting to see if he and De Pere teammates can cap it off with a state title.

Game Day Quick Hitter
Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6'6" | SF Homestead | 2025 State WI : (Homestead) The more I see this kid play the more I like what I see. First, he looks the part, long and lean. Second, every time I see him, he has improved a skill or a movement/positioning on the court. Finally, what he impressed me with today, was his aggressiveness with the ball in his hands early. By the time this one is a junior/senior he just gonna be a problem.
Wil Hornseth: (De Pere) Big fan of this one. Top 5/6 player in his class and might move up. Over the last 2 years he would be on a Most Improve List if there was such a thing. The prospect is attracting a lot of attention from some big-name schools. He does a lot correct and plays with high IQ.
