<p>The 2022-23 high school basketball season continues after the new year from some great matchups. This week, our top 10 games feature several elite matchups, with a lot of talent being showcased. This week has five top-10 matchups and a pair of top-5 matchups in the top-10, so let's take a look at my top ten upcoming games across the state listed in order that they will be played.</p>

<h3><strong>4A #10 Lawrence North @ 4A #8 New Palestine - Monday at 7:30</strong></h3>

<p>In the rare Monday game, a pair of 4A top-10 teams, Lawrence North and New Palestine, battled it out. Lawrence North comes into the game at 12-3 with wins in 6 of their last 7 games. The Wildcats are led by a pair of underclassmen point guards with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1296979' first='Azavier' last='Robinson']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1158213' first='Kobi' last='Bowles']</strong>. New Palestine comes into the game at 15-0 and as one of the last two unbeatens in the state. The Dragons are led by a pair of seniors with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295323' first='Ian' last='Stephens']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1160679' first='Blaine' last='Nunnally']</strong> each are averaging over 17 points per game on the season. </p>

<p>University comes in at 12-1 and ranked #3 in 2A. The lone Trailblazer loss came to Mount Vernon (Fortville) in the Roncalli Holiday Tournament. University is led by 2024 wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1578464' first='Sabien' last='Cain']</strong> as well as 2023 wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1556354' first='Andre' last='Ozlowski']</strong> at 33 points per game combined. Indianapolis Chatard sits at 11-5 on the season with losses in three of their last four. The Trojans are led by their inside-out duo of 2026 point guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1560973' first='Ethan' last='Roseman']</strong> and 2023 wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1402477' first='Robert' last='Davidson']</strong> at over 30 points per game combined.</p>

<p>This Sectional 10 matchup features a pair of perennial powers. North Central comes in at 9-7 with three wins in a row over Muncie Central, Warren Central, and Fort Wayne South after losing 5 of 6. The Panthers are led by 2023 guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='868259' first='Joey' last='Brown']</strong>, 2024 guards <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1158227' first='Mason' last='Lewis']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1547429' first='Jaxson' last='Bell']</strong>, and 2025 guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1297108' first='Rogelio' last='Rivera']</strong>. Lawrence Central comes in at 11-6 on the season with losses in 2 of 3 after their 6-game winning streak. Five of the last seven games have been decided by one possession or overtime with wins over Hamilton Southeastern, Noblesville, and Warren Central and losses to Southport and Anderson. <p>The Sectional 63 champion has seemed to make a run deep in the State tournament for the last couple years. This season, the winner of this game should take the title. Loogootee comes in at 11-5 on the season with wins in four of five. Their five losses this season have come to 1A #1 Bloomfield, 1A #2 Evansville Christian (twice), 3A #4 North Daviess, and 2A #6 Brownstown Central. The Lions are led by senior forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='868254' first='Peyton' last='Bledsoe']</strong>. Orleans sits at 14-2 on the season with their losses coming to New Albany and North Daviess. The Bulldogs are led by a trio of underclassmen with 2024s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1386673' first='Xavier' last='Alston']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1158190' first='Ian' last='Hall']</strong> as well as 2025 <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1578462' first='Rylan' last='Crocker']</strong> who all average over 9 points per game.</p>

<p>Fishers comes in at 10-8 on the season with three wins in a row over Carroll (Fort Wayne), Avon, and Franklin Central. The Tigers have suffered three overtime losses and six single-digit losses this season. Fishers is led by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1297052' first='Jalen' last='Haralson']</strong>, one of the top 2025 players in the nation, at 21.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists this season. 2024 guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1578471' first='Taden' last='Metzger']</strong> provides a great secondary scoring option with 46% shooting from the outside. Westfield comes in at 10-5 on the season with losses in 3 of 4 and 4 of 6 to Carmel, Brownsburg, Liberty Christian, and Avon. The Shamrocks look to get back on track with their inside out duo of 2023 post <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1410467' first='Alex' last='Romack']</strong> and 2024 guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1275749' first='Trey' last='Buchanan']</strong>.</p>

<p>This top-4 battle is one of the most anticipated matchups in Southern Indiana. North Daviess comes in at 16-3 with losses coming to 4A #2 Penn and 3A #1 NorthWood in the Hall of Fame Classic and 2A #1 Linton-Stockton at the buzzer. The Cougars are led by Oakland City commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='935727' first='Jaylen' last='Mullen']</strong> and senior twins <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1556400' first='Logan' last='Wilson']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1556399' first='Lance' last='Wilson']</strong>. Bloomfield comes in at 15-3 with losses to North Central and 2A #1 Linton-Stockton twice. The Cardinals are led by 2023 post <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1557223' first='Peter' last='Combs']</strong>.</p>

<p>In Lawrence North's second top-10 matchup of the week, the Wildcats take on the #6 Carmel Greyhounds. In the rare Monday game, a pair of 4A top-10 teams, Lawrence North and New Palestine, battled it out. Lawrence North comes into the game at 12-3 with wins in 6 of their last 7 games. <p>Traders Point Christian comes in at 12-4 on the season with losses to Covenant Christian, Bethany Christian, Lafayette Central Catholic, and Indianapolis Shortridge. The Knights are led by their guard trio of 2024s <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295312' first='Drew' last='Busick']</strong> and <strong>TJ Robinson</strong> and 2023 <strong>Amari Justice</strong> who all average over 11 points per game. <p>Adams Central comes in at 11-4 on the season, and the Flying Jets have won 10 straight games since their 1-4 start to the season. They have won their last five games by an average of 32 points per game. Adams Central is led by 2024 forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1763448' first='Isaac' last='Schultz']</strong> and 2025 guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1539666' first='Trace' last='Maller']</strong>. Leo comes in under .500 at just 7-9 on the season, but six of the last seven losses for the Lions have come by single digits. They are led by a duo of 2024 guards with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1547387' first='Jackson' last='Mcgee']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1578478' first='Trey' last='Hiteshew']</strong>. The Lions have won three Sectional titles in a row including a run to the State and another to the Semi-State, but their run at the top may be coming to an end this year.</p>
