Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6'6" | SF Homestead | 2025 State WI — SF — Homestead
Even though his team didn’t walk away with the victory, I was still extremely impressed with the play of Polite. From the opening tip, the small forward was aggressive. He attacked the rim early and often. He only finished with ten points in the loss, but I still was impressed by Polite. The SF is very talented on the offensive end of the court. He is able to make some very impressive plays with the ball in his hands.
Will Hornseth Will Hornseth 6'8" | PF De Pere | 2024 State #208 Nation WI — PF — De Pere
Hornseth continues to play at a very high level for De Pere. The 6-foot-8 big man is a dominant player in the paint. In De Pere’s win on Saturday, Hornseth scored an efficient 14 points. He used his size well to finish layups in the paint. I also thought that Hornseth made some nice plays on defense. He blocked shots and protected the paint. At the next level, I see Hornseth developing into a great player.
John Kinziger John Kinziger 6'0" | CG De Pere | 2023 State #257 Nation WI — PG — De Pere
Not much else can be said about Kinziger now. The point guard has proven himself as an elite player in this state. Leading his team to a win over Homestead, Kinziger tallied 27 points. On the offensive end of the court, he did it all. Kinziger scored at the rim, made outside shots, and passed to open teammates. Come March, opposing defenders are going to have their hands full with the De Pere guard.
Anthony Chung — G — Homestead
He only scored six points, but Chung did some nice things for Homestead on Friday night. The guard played great on-ball defense. I loved the effort and intensity that Chung brought to the defensive end of the court. He uses his quick feet and hands to jump passing lanes and create turnovers.
Ben Willhinganz — F — De Pere
If De Pere is to hoist the Gold Ball at the end of this season, Willhinganz will need to play great basketball. The 6-foot-7 junior brings size and strength to the Redbirds’ frontcourt. He scored just four points in the win on Friday, but he played great defense and rebounded well. Look for Willhinganz to make a significant contribution down the stretch for De Pere.
Zach Kinziger Zach Kinziger 6'3" | SG De Pere | 2025 State #127 Nation WI — SG — De Pere
Kinziger is going to be a really good player for years to come. He can score off the dribble, knock down open threes, and stick mid-range jumpers. I thought that the shooting guard had a really solid performance on Friday. He scored an efficient 13 points, giving his team much needed production on offense.
Tim Franks Tim Franks 6'5" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI — SG — Homestead
Even though Franks didn’t have his best performance, I still thought that he showed glimpses of greatness. When the shooting guard gets to his spots, he is very tough to stop. Franks is capable of using fancy finishing techniques around the rim and stepping outside and drilling jumpers. Franks tallied ten points in his squad’s loss.
