Continue ReadingOn Monday afternoon we released an updated version of our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2025 Prospect Rankings. There was a lot of movement in the Top 100 as we continue to solidify our evaluations on these young prospects. Additionally, the Watch List continued to grow to over 150 additional names that deserve recognition in the current sophomore class. Now our staff will continue pumping out content all week long as we highlight this very strong class of talent. Let’s begin with taking a look at six of the best new names in the Class of 2025.
Josiah Ball Josiah Ball 6'5" | SF Maconaquah | 2025 State IN (Maconaquah H.S.): In terms of sophomores putting up big numbers there aren’t many ahead of this Maconaquah prospect at this point. Ball is averaging 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 47% from the field and 37% from beyond the arc. The 6’5″ wing has good length, is a solid athlete, and has the all-around ball skills to be very versatile on the offensive end of the floor. He will be a name though could really garner some attention over the summer. Jumps into the rankings at #69 in this update.
Damon Howard Damon Howard 6'1" | PG Pike | 2025 State IN (Pike H.S.): Howard has stepped into an important role for a Pike team that has surprised some people this season. The 5’10” playmaker is averaging 5.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.4 assists for 9-4 Pike. He is very quick with the ball in his hands, has excellent court vision, and finishes well for his size at the end of his drives. The pure ball skill and playmaking talent is what really stands out right now when watching him play. Howard has debuted in our Prep Hoops Indiana Rankings at #77 overall. It won’t be surprising to see him continue to climb.
Robert Kennedy Robert Kennedy 6'4" | SF Merrillville | 2025 State IN (Merrillville H.S.): When you pair a strong 6’4″ frame with elite athleticism you get a very intriguing prospect. That is what Kennedy has in terms of physical tools up at Merrillville. Kennedy is an elite rebounder at his position, is really hard to stop in transition, and can get downhill to the rim to his right hand consistently. Above the rim finisher at the end of his drives. With one of the highest upsides in the northern Indiana, Kennedy debuts at #47 overall.
Luke Lindeman Luke Lindeman 6'6" | SF Bloomington North | 2025 State IN (Bloomington H.S. North): This 6’4″ wing has been a big part of Bloomington North’s success this season. Lindeman has a lot of versatility on both ends of the floor with the size to score around the basket and the skill level to shoot it at a high percentage from three-point range. He is knocking in 47% of his three-point attempts on decent volume. Lindeman makes his rankings debut at #64 overall with plenty of room still to run as he continues to develop as a prospect.
Landon Sichting Landon Sichting 6'3" | SF Indian Creek | 2025 State IN (Indian Creek H.S.): Sichting has put up some eye-catching numbers in his sophomore season so far for Indian Creek. The 6’3″ wing is averaging 20.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while knocking 45% of his three-point attempts. He does a great job of playing through contact on his way to the rim, has a smooth shooting stroke, and rebounds his position very well. Anytime you see a young prospect putting up those type of numbers you have to pay attention. Ranked #75 overall now in the Class of 2025.
Drelyn Truesdale Drelyn Truesdale 6'3" | SG Bishop Luers | 2025 State IN (Fort Wayne Carroll H.S.): Truesdale has burst onto the scene this year as a starter for a very young and talented Carroll team. The Chargers are 7-3 overall on the season and have won five straight games going into Tuesday night’s game at Fishers. A 6’3″ guard with some really impressive physical tools, Truesdale is one of the top prospects in the Fort Wayne area. He is a dynamic playmaker that can finish above the rim and play through contact to finish inside. He jumps into the Class of 2025 rankings all the way up at #18 overall. This a name that everyone around the state needs to get familiar with.
