Nike EYBL Session III – Monday Indiana Recap

This is an outstanding opportunity to evaluate many of the top prospects across the country, but of course we are specifically focusing on the Indiana based teams and the in-state prospects that play for other teams as well. Each day we will provide an Indiana recap here from Kansas City. (Cathedral H.S. 2029) scored 19 points showing off his ball skill and shot-making ability, but otherwise [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 15u struggled in their final game of the weekend at EYBL Session III. He was one of the consistent standouts on the weekend in Kansas City proving himself as one of the top prospects in Indiana's Class of 2029.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington'] (New Albany H.S. 2028) played just eight minutes before exiting with what appeared to be a lower leg injury, but quickly accumulated 11 points while he was out there. However, without one of their stars, [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u struggled to keep up with a very good MOKAN Elite 16u team falling 84-68. Jordan Mitchell (Louisville Male H.S. 2028) led the way with 13 pionts while Brady Orem (Great Crossing H.S. 2028) added 11 points and 8 rebounds and Dylan Zeigler (Lutheran East H.S. 2028) chipped in 10 points. They had lost competitive games on Friday and Saturday prior to a heart-breaking buzzer beater on Sunday. However, they were able to deliver a game-winner of their own on Monday. [player_tooltip player_id='2267048' first='Harper' last='Baker-Lands'] (Plainfield H.S. 2027) knocked in a deep three-point shot above the right wing with a few seconds remaining to give [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] a 65-63 lead over UPlay Canada which held on to be the final score. [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] (Pike H.S. 2027) finished with 16 points to lead all scorers while [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] (Pike H.S. 2027) and [player_tooltip player_id='2932419' first='Mack' last='Welker'] each added 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 rebounds respectively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">UNRNKD Hoops 17u</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>UNRNKD Hoops 17u finished off a solid weekend in Kansas City with a 62-50 win on Monday morning. [player_tooltip player_id='2140333' first='Braylon' last='Pippins'] (Cathedral H.S. 2027) finished with 18 points and 6 rebounds to lead the way for UNRNKD. The 6'5" forward had an excellent weekend displaying his athleticism and physicality around the basket. Fellow interior force [player_tooltip player_id='2140417' first='Makale' last='Price'] (Penn H.S. 2027), a 6'7" center, turned in another good performance as well putting up 14 points and 9 rebounds in the win. Price was coming off of a massive 23-point, 15-rebound double-double the day before.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Other Indiana Based Prospects</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2559521' first='Varschon' last='Clark'] (Hamilton Southeastern H.S. 2028) had a good weekend playing with Meanstreets 16u. On Monday, in a 78-48 win, the 6'3" guard had 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. He has been a stock-riser in Indiana's Class of 2028 through the spring.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Meansteets 15u picked up a big win on Monday afternoon with 6'7" center [player_tooltip player_id='3033269' first='Prentiss' last='Gates'] (Gary West Side H.S. 2029) posting 4 points, 6 rebounds, and an incredible 9 blocks in the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
