He plays the game strategically and with purpose. In the first half of game one, Furnish wasn’t in any hurry to pad his stat line with points but rather, he set up his offense for the best possible look, he got his teammates involved with multiple assists and played excellent defense. However, in the second half, he began scoring a barrage of points while continuing to keep his teammates involved. Furnish was shooting with confidence and attacking the basket with efficient finishes. Cal is a massive asset to Crossing Christian.
Ben Radford Ben Radford 6'4" | SF Memorial | 2023 OK 2023 – Memorial: Ben plays a pivotal role for Memorial as he is the presence in the middle that all teams need. He is strong so he knows how to get his opponents out of the paint to grab multiple rebounds throughout the game and he isn’t hesitant to dive on the floor for loose balls. Ben can find his open teammates when his inside shot isn’t there but has a nice touch around the rim when he does go up. Memorial has a lot of shooters so having a player like Ben in the paint is very beneficial.
Dylan Warlick Dylan Warlick 6'6" | SF Edmond North | 2024 State #226 Nation OK 2024 – Edmond North: Edmond North is filled with talent so it may be hard to stand out at times but Warlick is a player who shines on almost every possession. Defensively, he moves and guards his opponents in a way that never gives them the upper hand which breaks down a lot of the offenses. Dylan is probably one of the hardest working players on the offensive end as he can shoot from deep but when inside, he never stops positioning himself to get the dump from his guards; 9 times out of 10, you’ll find that Dylan has his defender behind him and has consciously placed himself in position for an easy 2.
Cedric Dixon Cedric Dixon 6'3" | SG Grind Prep | 2024 State #323 Nation OK 2024 – Union: Cedric is a high motor guard that goes non-stop on both ends of the floor. He is a player that stays active with and without the ball so he is difficult to guard. Dixon has a high IQ and knows how to play the game, the right way. He has one of the fastest triggers and he requires minimal space to get his shot off which makes him a significant threat from the outside. But, his change of pace, misdirection and explosiveness must always be accounted for as he can beat many of his defenders off the dribble and finish at the rim. Cedric is very skilled and it is clear that he is nowhere near reaching his peak potential.
Korbin Gunn Korbin Gunn 6'1" | PG Union | 2025 State OK 2025 – Union: Korbin is listed at 6’0″ but plays the game with the heart of a giant! He plays with passion and there is a visible drive to his style. Korbin is selfless and does not hesitate to make the extra pass in order to get the better shot but he also knows when to take over. In his second game against Edmond North, he shot the three with certainty – was able to create separation as well as attack the basket with ferocity. He brings many positive attributes to the game that cannot be calculated on a stat sheet; and, his hustle and effort are parts of his game that he seems to take pride in.
