The Team Rose Shootout is one of the must attend events of the season. With 12 games and 24 teams over two days we got a ton of great evaluations in at the event. Now we review what we saw including right here in Team Rose Shootout: Stock Risers!

[player_tooltip player_id='1279762' first='Matas' last='Castillo'] (Lemont – 2023)

Castillo is a UW-Parkside commit that brings a ton of creativity to the table as a ball handler and distributor. He created for himself and others on his way to 15 points and quite a few assists often to his brother.

[player_tooltip player_id='1048329' first='Tylon' last='Toliver'] (Lincoln Way East - 2023)

Have always liked what we have seen out of Toliver during the summer and this was one of the better contests we have seen from him in the high school setting. Combo guard that tends to be more of a scorer loving to get in the lane for runners and getting fouled. He had 17 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1170017' first='Arius' last='Alijosius'] (Riverside Brookfield – 2023)

Third time seeing the Winona State signee this season and he didn't shoot it great which is what he is best at. What did impress us however was his ability to score 19 points despite that. He worked well around ball screens turning the corner and getting to the cup for layups before the shot blocker would get there. This type of game displays the versatility he brings.

[player_tooltip player_id='939066' first='Jackson' last='Kotecki'] (St. Ignatius – 2023)

Kotecki started off the second half with his own personal 6-0 run to ignite his team. Played with quite a bit of energy on the interior rebounding well in traffic. Ran the floor, finished with athleticism, and knocked in a couple threes for 18 points. Good outing for the Miami (OH) commit!

[player_tooltip player_id='1285517' first='Reggie' last='Ray'] (St. Ignatius – 2024)

Have a week! After his performance at Chicago Elite Classic he did it again at Team Rose. Performing like this in two primetime events will certainly help him see his stock rise in the next rankings. He netted 16 points by being aggressive using his burst to the cup over and over again. Pushes in the open floor. Relentless player that has been one of top stock risers early in the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1488791' first='Carson' last='Brownfield'] (Homewood Flossmoor – 2024)

Strong bodied wing that is such a physical finisher. He slashes with a purpose and has a soft touch finishing package to go with being able to go through big men inside. He notched 15 points against Hyde Park.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373436' first='Angelo' last='Ciaravino'] (Mt. Carmel – 2024)

Absolutely been one of the top stock boosters early this season. Already a highly ranked prospect he might be making a move toward the top 10 in our next update. Tremendous size, skill, and athleticism from this junior. Several explosive dunks, his passing was on point for a combo forward, and defensively he is very good as a shot blocker. He had 14 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285492' first='Lee' last='Marks'] (Mt. Carmel – 2024)

Marks brought a lot not only scoring 11 points, but using his athleticism on the boards and defensively. Brings a lot of intangibles that we really like to the table. Very good wing rebounder with his quickness off the bounce. Really like where his game is headed!

[player_tooltip player_id='1285491' first='Quentin' last='Mccoy'] (Lindblom – 2024)

McCoy kicked off the second day of the event with a nice showing of 18 points. Consistent producer on the circuit with the Mac Irvin Fire he showcased that in a high school setting. Several nice pull up jumpers and showed he is an effective drive/kick passer.

Donovan Juzang (Marian Catholic – 2023)

Juzang has been really good each time we have seen Marian Catholic play this year. Crafty scorer that makes trips regularly to the charity stripe. He likes taking it on the baseline when in the half court as he did in a 15 point outing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279765' first='Quentin' last='Heady'] (Hillcrest – 2023)

Heady is an angular small forward that dropped 18 points in their win against Normal. He is at his best in an up and down type of game. That was what he got throwing down big dunks and taking it coast to coast quite a few times.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373444' first='Zavier' last='Fitch'] (Brother Rice – 2024)

Bouncy power forward in the junior class who has the looks of a prospect that could continue to move up the board. Great frame and his athleticism shines on the defensive end swatting shots, rebounding, and on the other end is an athletic finisher.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279766' first='Jayden' last='Watson'] (Bloom – 2023)

Against his former team Watson had a nice outing scoring 10 points being a high-motor rim runner as he scored multiple buckets beating his opponent down the floor. Gets on the offensive glass and was super active.

[player_tooltip player_id='1352590' first='Gianni' last='Cobb'] (Perspectives – 2024)

Cobb is a scoring point guard that has such a tremendous burst with the ball. Acrobatic finisher at the rim throwing in tough layups, euro steps, and soft touch floaters. He had 25 points in a comeback win looking like a D1 guard.
