ABOUT SOME OF THE PLAYERS
Hamlin has tremendous upside and versatility. At the high school level, he can play multiple positions using his athleticism to attack from the wing and finish in transition and using his length and wingspan to be a difference maker on defense. This allows him to defend both the perimeter and the paint effectively. Hamlin is coming off a terrific grassroots season where he made a great combo with Carman-Ainsworth teammate Chris McLavish.
Grant Bean
Grant Bean
Bean is a name that could pop this season. I saw him playing with The Program a while back and the young man showed some ability to score with efficiency. He played a patient game and took high percentage looks when they came his way. Bean could see some looks at the rim this year.
Hennings is a veteran star for Carman-Ainsworth. He seems to be playing his best basketball at just the right time for his team. Hennings is long and athletic and he can create looks at the bucket. He’s bouncy around the rim and can get the job done on both ends of the floor. Hennings proved that he could play with the best in the state this summer.
Spillers Jr. is a shifty guard that can make plays from the perimeter. He showed that he could run the floor and fill a wing in transition at the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250.
Jordan Tyler
Jordan Tyler
Tyler will be counted on for key minutes at the point guard position. He’s shown that he can use good hip movement to juke defenders, put them on his hip, and create.
McLavish Jr. should be a household name among high school basketball fans in the state of Michigan. He stormed onto the scene as a freshman with his highliught reel shooting ability. McLavish Jr. has in the gym range where seeing him bury a triple from the volleyball line becomes the norm. If you saw him his freshman season, guess what? He’s gotten even better. MLavish put his game on display on the Prep Hoops Circuit and he was much more than just a shooter. He showed the ability to create off the bounce as well as get his teammates involved.
