On paper and from what we have seen from both teams this early it can happen but they will run into some hungry teams looking to knock them off.
Teams
Alta, Copper Hills, Crimson Cliffs, Dixie, Farminton, Herriman, Lone Peak and Skyridge
Front-Runners
Alta and Dixie on paper and in our minds would be a a great final as both teams have been playing well this year and both teams have a shot at making a deep run in 5A and 4A this year. Kyle Lemke Kyle Lemke 6'9" | C Dixie | 2024 State UT has been a great big that is just a high motor type of a PF and he has some good guards putting in work and non better than Jordan Roberts Jordan Roberts 6'0" | PG Dixie | 2024 State UT his PG that is racking up assist getting the ball to open players. Alta on the otehr side has two dynamic player sin the back-court in Nash Hinck Nash Hinck 5'11" | PG Alta | 2023 State UT and Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT and they also have a big that can really play at a high level in Jaxon Johnson Jaxon Johnson 6'8" | SF Alta | 2024 State #106 Nation UT . Watching Dixie’s guards go up against Alta would be a prime time showcase as would it be to see Kyle play against Jaxon. In a few days we will see if that comes to fruition.
Players to Watch
Would love to see a high academic D1 go after Paul a team in the Ivy-League would fit his style and academics. Paul is a boarderline D1 prospect that gets better and works hard. Really like his outside touch as it continues to develop. Paul will average 15+ PPG and get about 8+ RPG as well.
Highlights
Ike is a big guard that has a solid game. He is a good shooter and he has some strength that he uses when he attacks the rim. Could be a solid D2 prospect or a player that can land at a solid JUCO and continue to develop his game.
Highlights
Chamberlain has given glimpses of what he is capable of and with more consistency from him and playing back to back games he could really make some strides in his development. Nice touch and hands seem to be getting softer and that shot needs more reps. Could turn into a dominant big in no time.
Ace is the shiftiest player in the state as he is just a tough cover. When he is down hill teams are in trouble. Ace has D1 capability if not there will be a lot of smaller schools just waiting for him to drop to him. Ace has been shooting better and with a lot of freedom, at Alta he is able to play his game.
