5. Dakota Ridge

Dakota Ridge was on the verge of making tier one as they have been dominant playing in state competition. This team is one of the deepest teams in 5A led by sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id='1159005' first='Trevor' last='Fuller']. Trevor has always been known as a good shooter and he has recently improved his scoring off of the bounce making him a more diverse scorer. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1369821' first='Ethan' last='Berninger'] has been having a breakout season as he is another good shooter who has improved his scoring off the bounce, even throwing down some exhilarating dunks through traffic. [player_tooltip player_id='1427090' first='Carson' last='Evans'] is a gritty guard who does the little things for the team, he uses his bulky frame to box out and is an unselfish player who is leading the team in assists. [player_tooltip player_id='1622362' first='Cole' last='Holloway'] is a gritty forward who has bought into his role as a rebounder and does a great job cleaning the offensive boards to create second-chance opportunities for his team.

6. Vista PEAK Prep

Vista PEAK Prep has the biggest team in 5A with their twin towers down low consisting of junior forwards [player_tooltip player_id='1577963' first='Carson' last='Mcdonald'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1578033' first='Kyree' last='Polk']. Kyree may be the biggest player in the state, he stands at 6'9 and has a bog frame allowing him to bully players down low where he has improved his finishing ability. Carson is an athletic power forward who can finish above the rim and has shown some potential to be a stretch big man shooting a solid clip so far this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1577932' first='Alante' last='Monroe-Elazier'] is a wing who has a knack for finishing around the rim due to his elite balance and footwork. Nassir Mills adds some needed additional scoring from the backcourt and does a good job dishing the ball out to his teammates. This team's frontcourt makes them a match-up problem for many 5A teams.

7. Lewis-Palmer

Lewis-Palmer is one of the most winningest programs in recent times in Colorado and once again has a talented squad looking to make a run. This team is led by Air Force commit [player_tooltip player_id='1577986' first='Eli' last='Robinson']. Eli is a versatile forward who can play down low or from the perimeter on the offensive end, he is a stat sheet stuffer averaging 20.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.1 steals, and 2.4 blocks per contest. [player_tooltip player_id='1284588' first='Cohen' last='Edmondson'] is a big guard who is able to stretch the floor with his knockdown jumper. Senior guard JJ Nsubuga has been their third-best player providing some shot-making ability and is a willing passer. While this team does not have the depth they have had in years past they have one of the top seniors in the state who can lead them on a good playoff run.
