NBA Stylistic Comparison: 2022 Orlando Magic Terrence Ross
DaRon is agile, surprisingly so for his height. His game is still raw though and he needs to continue to hammer the fundamentals and footwork. Typically, a player with his physique at his age is still growing into their body. They take longer to refine their skills, but when it happens the rewards are glorious. You can’t teach size.
Insane ability to finish above the rim. A really flashy scorer.
Needs to improve his outside shooting. Waller is an elite high school slasher with wonderful bounciness. The shooting separates him from consistently scoring from all over the court.

NBA Stylistic Comparison: 2022 Warriors Steph Curry
Quick feet. Good, consistent lower body balance on his jumper.
Elite shooter. Drake Ingram Drake Ingram 6'2" | PG Knoxville Webb | 2024 State TN won Best Shooter Award over a couple of wonderfully talented fellow campers. This was Drake’s second PrepHoopsTN event, and second time in the PrepHoopsTN All-Star Game.
The most dramatic improvements in Drake since his last event (June 2021) are physical strength and handle with the basketball. In his freshman and sophomore seasons, Drake was a remarkable shooter, but his dribbling lagged a bit behind. He was never a liability with the dribble, but his shooting accuracy off-the-catch was much, much better than following a dribble or three. That is no longer an issue. Drake is a complete shooter and scorer. His floor projects as a multi-year Division II starter. The only hesitation between him earning D1 opportunities may be his somewhat slight size. We are seeing some D1 coaches shy away from the elite scoring, though perhaps slender point guards this cycle specifically ( Tylon Chatman Tylon Chatman 6'0" | PG Haywood | 2023 State TN , Jordan Frison Jordan Frison 6'0" | PG Overton | 2023 State TN ). All three are highly skilled with fantastic court awareness.
Drake’s areas for improvement would be in passing. He can and will pass, but there is room for him to become more of a visionary. Not just feed the open man, but also deliver a pass to a spot that initiates teammate movement towards it. His touch on the shot can quickly translate to passing with tenderness.
