One. Nasir Whitlock Nasir Whitlock 6'2" | PG Delasalle | 2023 State MN hitting the game winner to beat Minnetonka. A Mr. Basketball moment and a true Tip Off Classic memory with that game winner.
Two. I don’t think I have ever seen fans run to a court and react with such thunder like we saw when Minneapolis North made their comeback versus Lake City. The Tigers won but the comeback really made for an awesome atmosphere.
Three. Head Coach Ben Johnson, all three of his assistants, and the entire Gopher basketball roster showing up to watch Cherry point guard Isaac Asuma Isaac Asuma 6'3" | PG Cherry | 2024 State #102 Nation MN play. They were on the baseline, in the stands, and on the balcony watching.
Four. Matt Drake Matt Drake 5'11" | PG Lakeville North | 2024 State MN ‘s late game jumper gave Lakeville North the win over Totino-Grace in a really close game. Drake has earned the Mr. Clutch nickname right now.
Five. Jonathan Mekonnen Jonathan Mekonnen 6'8" | PF Eastview | 2024 State #201 Nation MN lifted the Jim Robinson MVP trophy and he earned it with the three dunks, the 22 points and the excellent showing against Wayzata.
Six. Daniel Freitag Daniel Freitag 6'1" | PG Breck | 2024 State #142 Nation MN in the open floor throw down a dunk that the fans got excited about. He scored 36 points in the loss to Hopkins
Seven. Maple River vs Maranatha Christian ended in a couple missed foul shots at the end that were tense and had everybody in edge. MCA then put the game away.
Eight. Patrick Bath Patrick Bath 6'9" | C Totino Grace | 2023 State MN went baseline for a two hand dunk and then followed that a bit later with a top of the key three.
Nine. Zy’lerre Stewart exploded for a dunk and then raced back to get a steal that led to more Eagle points.
Ten. Seth Newbern Seth Newbern 6'2" | PG Robbinsdale Armstrong | 2024 State MN And1 to win the game in the final minute.
Extra. The beautiful Coca Cola centerpiece at midcourt representing Coke’s love for the holidays and Minnesota’s latest win over the Wisconsin Badgers keeping the Axe at home.
