Cody Schmitz Cody Schmitz 6'4" | SG Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau | 2024 State WI — SG — GET
Schmitz was able to put up some incredible scoring numbers last season as a sophomore. Now the shooting guard is back and better than ever. Currently, Schmitz is scoring 35.5 points per game. On the offensive end of the court, the SG is truly the full package. He has great positional size, can score around the hoop, can score in isolation, and has no problems knocking down outside shots. Look for Schmitz to continue to put up big-time scoring numbers.
Riley Brooks Riley Brooks 6'5" | SG Ripon | 2023 State #289 Nation WI — SG — Ripon
Currently ranked just outside of the top 15 in Wisconsin’s 2023 class, Brooks has cemented himself as one of the best prospects in the state. The Ripon shooting guard has been able to do a lot of positive things this season. He is averaging 34.2 points through five games. Brooks is a lethal shooter from deep. If defenders give him an inch of space on the perimeter, it often spells out trouble for the opposing squad.
Amari McCottry Amari McCottry 6'5" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State #304 Nation WI — SF — Saint Thomas More
It is still early in the season, so I don’t want to overreact to a small sample size. But right now, McCottry is making a case for himself as the best prospect in Wisconsin’s 2024 class. He is scoring just over 30 points per game and is seemingly playing with an abundance of confidence. The small forward has all of the physical tools to become a star at the college level. He checks off all of the boxes that college coaches look for.
Jaquan Johnson Jaquan Johnson 5'10" | PG Pius XI | 2024 State WI — PG — Pius XI
Johnson has become one of the best point guards in the state. The Pius XI product is extremely quick and shifty in the open court. He does a great job of using his speed to get downhill and finish layups at the rim. Johnson is averaging 30.7 points per game early this season. Look for the PG to earn college attention in the near future.
Dallas Wallin Dallas Wallin 6'3" | SF Prescott | 2024 State WI — PF — Prescott
I got a chance to watch Wallin this past summer at a couple of Prep Hoops Circuit tournaments. I thought that Wallin was really impressive then. Now, the Prescott power forward is proving that his productive summer was no fluke. Through five games, Wallin is averaging 21.4 point and 14.6 rebounds per game. Look out for Wallin moving forward.
Sekou Konneh Sekou Konneh 6'6" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State WI — PF — Saint Thomas More
The upside that Konneh possesses is unmatched. The Saint Thomas More power forward has a chance to become a special player at the next level. He is a very good athlete who uses his size and athleticism to dominate on both ends of the court. Early in the season, Konneh is averaging 14.8 points and 13.6 rebounds per game.
Jaiden Martin Jaiden Martin 6'1" | CG Dominican | 2024 State WI — SG — Dominican
I think that Martin is a sleeper in Wisconsin’s 2024 class. The Dominican shooting guard has done some really good things for his squad this season. As a passer, Martin has shown flashes of greatness. The SG is tallying 8.8 assists per game through five contests. He isn’t just a facilitator, though. Martin can also score effectively. Look for Martin to turn some heads this season.
