Coach Matt Wortham has changed the Spartans program and he has been a big bright spot for the league. He coaches with a passion and his players love him for it. They are a disciplined team that plays very hard. This will continue. He has some great wing talent this year. Transfers [player_tooltip player_id='922595' first='Romel' last='Hightower'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1605203' first='Josh' last='Jacobs'] along with [player_tooltip player_id='1164623' first='Stone' last='Edwards'] will be very difficult to stop in the City league and I don't think any other team has the wing depth, height, and skill to match these three.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>2. <strong>Rogers - Last Year: 8-14 (6-5) - 2022-23 Prediction: 9-10 (7-3)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rogers is a team that lost its two bright spots due to the transfer portal. [player_tooltip player_id='1605205' first='Pharrell' last='House'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1605203' first='Josh' last='Jacobs'] are both at different schools and this leaves Rogers as a huge question mark. Coach Ramone McBrayer is a young and newer hire for the Rams and his team plays hard for him. The loss of one of their best players, [player_tooltip player_id='922595' first='Romel' last='Hightower'], but Coach Weakley will have the Bulldogs ready to go. He has a nice point guard and guard/wing to work with in Isaiah Beauchamp and Daryl Barnett Jr. Beauchamp is a small and wired point guard who can put the ball in the basket at a high volume with a high volume of shots. Barnett is a very nice athlete that I believe the team should run through. He can play. Takes it coast to coast and does a very good job as a slasher.
