Outlook: Scott County has one of the better shooting teams I have seen this season and have one of the better guard trios in the state with Mosby, Glenn and Middleton. You can’t give their guards space to shoot. If they are making shots, they will be a tough team to beat. They are going to be a hard team to defend with the offensive firepower they have.
Micah Glenn
Micah Glenn
Glenn is a confident, strong PG. Elite shooter with deep 3pt range. Started the game in the first 3 minutes 3/3 from distance. One of the better players I have seen at the high school level running off screens to shoot. Does a great job squaring his shoulders and elevating. Has great feel to get to the paint and shoot floaters. I look for him to have a huge year for them.
Noah Gallagher
Noah Gallagher
Gallagher imposes his will on the defensive end. Strong and athletic that can defend multiple positions. Did a good job moving his feet without fouling. Will play a huge role for them setting the tone defensively as his offense continues to develop.
Nick Mosby
Nick Mosby
Mosby is a knock down shooter. Was great from 3pt range off the catch. Quick release that doesn’t need a lot of space and time to get his shot off. Crafty in the mid range to score both to shoot and make floaters. Great touch around the rim. Can score at all three levels. I look for him to pick up where he left off last season averaging 17 ppg.
JZ Middleton
JZ Middleton
Middleton was impressive. He is a strong combo guard that can play both on and off ball. Loved his lateral quickness on the defensive end. Has quick hands and very disruptive getting in passing lanes and getting deflections. Wants to play in a physical game. Has a short compact shot that allows him to shoot from deep 3pt range. You must guard him all over the floor because he can make shots with little space. Can score in bunches.
Larmarion McGrapth
Larmarion McGrapth
Mcgrath is a long athletic wing. Had one of the more impressive blocks I have seen this season coming from the weak side. Good instincts. Wants to play in transition. Good 3pt shooter off the catch and can shoot pull-ups from the mid-range. Will be able to develop at his own pace this season as he has others that can help score the basketball.
Tristan Christopher
Tristan Christopher
Christopher is a smooth wing that has a ton of potential. Only a sophomore. Left handed and does a good job getting to his spots. Would have liked him to be more aggressive offensively but that will come with experience. Can tell he will have a great career and will have a lot of players to play behind this year to learn from. Love him as a prospect to keep an eye on and watch him develop.
