Prep Hoops Season Predictions:
Gray Collegiate – The War Eagles are trying for another State Championship this season in Class 2A.
Keenan HS – The Raiders made the drop down to Class 2A and look for them to battle with the War Eagles all year long.
Eau Claire HS – The Shamrocks have some new faces and could surprise a team on a given night.
Fairfield Central HS – The Griffins will battle for the 4th spot here in this very talented region.
Columbia HS – Can the Capitals overtake the Griffins in the last playoff spot?
Parker is off the board and headed to Georgia Southern University next season. Avantae a left-handed forward can stretch the defense with his ability to play inside-out on the floor. Parker has a great skill set that even shows him at times handling the ball like a guard.
Trai is a jet quick point guard who still remains UNSIGNED here in the Palmetto State. White brings ball pressure and great court awareness to the floor with his ability to penetrate – kick to the cup. Trai makes plays on the floor and a brings a bit of chaos at times also for the War Eagles.
Trai White Trai White 5’10” | PG Gray Collegiate | 2023 State SC and Avantae Parker Avantae Parker 6’9″ | PF Gray Collegiate | 2023 State SC will share CO-Prep Hoops Region Player of the Year honors this season.
Oree and the Raiders will battle all season long this region title. Keenan HS moved down from Class 3A to Class 2A this season. Chrisean should see his numbers go up this season with his ability to score the ball from both guard positions. Oree brings plenty of game experience and confidence to the table for the Raiders this season.
Mitchell could be the UNSUNG man on this talented War Eagles roster. He really has a knack to the score the ball from all 3 levels. Mycheal excels in the transition game and the ability to score at the rack with either hand. Mitchell has made himself right at home on this roster for Head Coach Dion Bethea.
Highlights
Elam made the move over from Mead Hall in Aiken to the Raiders this off season. David will be counted on for some production to this Raiders roster this season. Elam is a slender-sleek athlete who can score the score ball from the mid-range.
Golston was hurt last season and he will look to make up for lost time on this Raiders roster this season. Jaylen brings a hard work mentality attitude and just contributing in any way possible for his squad. Golston scores around the basket when he’s not picking up a loose ball, rebound or taking a charge.
Quick-Streeter was with Westwood HS this past June at the SCBCA Team Camp. Sean looks to be a Shamrock now down at Eau Claire HS. Prep Hoops first saw him playing on the Grassroots scene with Elite Game a local team from the Midlands. Don’t leave Sean open on the floor because he will make the defense pay it that’s for sure.
