Either way we have been surprised by some players and we hope that they continue to rise and develop as their play is getting noticed. Here is a a list of a few players that have surprised this Fall.
Brock has by far been one of the most impressive stock risers we have seen in a long time. Not only does he have next level size he is skilled. That skill he has is not complete as he has a lot of growth left in his game. That college weight room and nutrition will elevate his game and athleticism and that individual skill work will also help him in some small areas of his game. Overall he has been dominating the paint on offense and he is good defensively. Brock will be sought out by small schools in the NWAC, NAIA, D2 but don’t sleep on him to go higher.
This kid is no longer 6’6 he is about 6’8 or so and the worry that crossed everyone’s mind was him going from a 4A school that played some good bigs to a school that was smaller and did not play against high quality talent and Brock would lower that level of play. That is not the case at all. Brock has really hit the ground running and running he is doing as he gets up and down the floor. He is aggressive crashing boards and getting put back dunks. He is trouble in the paint and that athleticism is there that could get him a spot at the next level as a 4 man.
Peter is better than he gets credit for as he can handle the ball and also play off the ball as a shooting guard. When he gets coring opportunity touches he is solid. He also plays a very good team style of play as he is looking for the right play and the extra pass all the time. Really like that increase of confidence in his game. D2 player for sure.
Tanner is another big time hooper that has D1 potential. He is athletic and he is a player that can get going and really break down people off the dribble. The way he can finish really showcases that next level ability. Watch out for him as he might get a poster or two here and there this season.
