Brady Sehlhorst Brady Sehlhorst 6'6" | SF Niles Notre Dame | 2025 State IL 6’6 Sophomore – Niles Notre Dame
Tall wing with guard skills. Plays hard and runs the floor really well on transition plays. Brady is really good when he grabs rebounds and pushes the ball up the court making sound decisions. Has huge upside to his game. Sehlhorst was known for his shooting ability but with added emphasis on defense he can become a top prospect in the state.
Zion Gross 6’3 Sophomore – Crete Monee
A skilled scoring guard that plays with confidence. He didn’t miss many shots in the game I watched. He can make the mid-range just as well as his three ball. Zion is more of an off the ball scoring threat right now that can become a duel threat on offense
Jax Abalos Jax Abalos 6'7" | SF Batavia | 2025 State IL 6’4 Sophomore – Batavia
Abalos caught my eye with his energy to keep lose balls alive and then how he finished plays. Jax has good fundamentals on offense passing and cutting hard to the rim. He has a nice shooting stroke and can finish well when slashing hard. Abalos also is a terrific defender as he held his own against taller players at Pangos.
Howard Williams Howard Williams 6'5" | SF Whitney Young | 2027 IL 6’4 8th Grade – Skinner West
Williams had a huge showing in the top 60 game. He seems to be locked in on scoring at will. For a young player Howard is a three level scoring guard who has good touch from the mid and long range. He also was fearless when attacking the rim against stronger and much older players. At his size now he can project to be about 6’7 or 6’8 when he’s leaving high school. Which almost says if he continues to get better he maybe a high major prospect his junior year.
Aleks Alston Aleks Alston 6'9" | PF Kenwood | 2025 State #170 Nation IL 6’9 Sophomore – Kenwood
Alston made the top 30 event meaning he was one of the better campers this weekend. The point forward had it going from three. He made countless shots with defenders in his face. Alex is poised on the perimeter with the ball in his hands and made some nice no look passes in transition. What was refreshing to see was his willingness to share the ball out of the post when I watched so many big men just become black holes and force shots. Alston already holds multiple offers which will continue to grow because he is a rare talent in the state.
