On September 14th I attended the AZ Compass Prep Fall League in Chandler, AZ.

I took in 3 full games and a half of one game on this night and I may be back for their playoffs.

Here were the soph and freshman standouts from the eight teams viewed:

2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1237854' first='Jaion' last='Pitt'] Dream City International

A quickly improving power forward seems to show something new each week. He is hitting the three with way more consistency and still shows off his easy bounce, dunking it easily. He has a nice hook shot to score over taller players in the post and is making better decisions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1366003' first='Jaden' last='Vance'] AZ Compass Prep Black

A long and lean guard who is a defensive minded player but can definitely score. He has unusually long arms and keeps his opponents in front of him with good quicks. He takes long strides to the basket and will score on tough reverse layups around contact. He can hit the three and shows upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1589731' first='Oluwatomisin' last='Ayodele-Osho'] Dream City Open

A strong athletic guard is tough getting downhill. He has a good build with speed and some length to be a ball hawk on defense. He is a capable three point shooter but clearly is best closest to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='994689' first='Noah' last='George'] Dream City Open (Pictured)

A long and lean scoring guard keeps playing well each week. His catch three makes his game go but he is expanding his game with drives and making good reads with the ball. Once he gets into the paint he uses the euro move to score in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1301344' first='Kingston' last='Tosi'] Millennium

A bigger wing can create his own offense. He will crossover his defender and shoot the three or make them off the catch. He gets on the glass for offensive rebound put backs. He has sneaky bounce to rise up and he is an all-around player.

2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1500800' first='Elijah' last='Williams'] Dream City Open

The talented incoming freshman had his breakout game with close to 30 points. He is a three level scorer with deep triples, getting downhill with elite body control for his class and he can live in the paint to score. He is also showing more ball skills, as he can drive and kick it to shooters and he is creating a little more off the dribble for himself.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323295' first='Brayden' last='Barrett'] Millennium

The incoming freshman knows how to play. He does a lot of the little things well. He cuts without the ball, boxes out when he should, rebounds in his area, takes high percentage shots and will hit the three better then most in the class.
