In our first look at the Southern California class of 2025 rankings, it's clear that there's a good amount of Division I talent – from High Major to Low Major – in the Southland's sophomore class. We'll break down those potential Division I-bound players in a series of pieces taking a closer look at each of their games and what landed them at their respective ranking, starting with players ranked 16 through 20.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630630' first='Dallas' last='Washington'], Santa Margarita, No. 16 overall prospect

Washington has an intriguing combination of size, athleticism and skill-set. At a legitimate 6-feet-8, the sophomore is a perimeter oriented wing/forward who has shown the ability to create shots off the bounce in addition to his catch and shoot touch from three-point range. Washington has the ability to rise even higher in the rankings depending on how he performs this season at Santa Margarita high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630631' first='Douglas' last='Langford'], St. Pius X-St. Matthias, No. 17 overall prospect

Langford has some throwback feel to his game in the sense of being a true paint/low post presence in an era where bigs are looking to float on the perimeter and do things outside their comfort zones. The 6-foot-8 forward is a strong, physical interior presence who has fluidity in his catch, gather and finishing ability when rim running or out of ball screen action. Langford is a guy whose progress we will be tracking closely.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630632' first='EJ' last='Spillman'], Pacifica Christian/OC, No. 18 overall prospect

When you look at Spillman's frame, you wouldn't expect to see the type of quickness and feel he plays with off the dribble. At 6-feet-3 with a strong, physical frame, the sophomore guard is a scoring machine whose ball handling skills, combined with his quickness, feel, strength, and creativity off the bounce makes his a very tough matchup for opposing defenders. Spillman has perimeter shooting ability off the dribble and can really create shots for himself and teammates when getting into the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630633' first='Maper' last='Maker'], Fairmont Prep, No. 19 overall prospect

Maker is more of a long-term projection here because of his overall skill-set to go along with his 6-foot-11 frame. The sophomore center has shown great hands, touch and footwork around the basket throughout is first season (and change) of high school basketball, but the defensive end is where he will make his mark in this class. Maker has impressive length to go along with his timing on shot blocks and shot contests. He needs to continue to add strength to his frame to realize his full potential on the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630634' first='Zion' last='Booker'], Etiwanda, No. 20 overall prospect

Booker might be the most explosive athlete in the class when all is said and done. The 6-foot-5 wing has a freakish vertical which he uses to finish above the rim in transition and snatch rebounds in and out of his area. His length, speed and quickness help him to blow by defenders on the break and get into the lane to put pressure on the defense. Where his athleticism really comes into play is as a disruptive perimeter defender who can guard multiple positions.
